Today was Lorraine 's Border Collie - Brock Collie's , 2nd Birthday.
Along with Sami, Charlie & Miss Trix he enjoyed an hour at
Ross & Friends - Dog Experience.
They hired the Invisible Water Woodland, which is totally secure and private. Which is important as Charlie is reactive.
It also meant Miss Trix, who is nearly 15, completely deaf and a bit wobbly, couldn't wander off.
It was a great afternoon, all 4 dogs had great fun splashing around in the water and they eve had their own private shower.
There are other private areas and a large secure social space too.
Perfect for practicing recall and letting dogs have a sniff, splash, jump and climb.
Located at Berkhamsted, so not far and well worth the trip ( it only took 30 mins from West Drayton)
Here's some photo's of everyone having fun.

Sorry everyone.
Tomorrow is forecast to be hotter than today, with temperatures not dropping until after dark.
So, there'll be no classes tomorrow.
Apologies, but it's unavoidable.
As it's so much cooler, classes are ON this evening 😃
Something a bit different from Javawolf Hoopers for August 18th.
It's the Reverse Review competition.
How it works.
You can book an AM slot and run all 3 courses in the morning.
You can book a PM slot and run all 3 courses ( they'll be run in the reverse direction in the afternoon)
Or.....you can buy an all day entry and run 3 courses in one direction in the morning and the opposite direction after lunch.

Hi everyone,
The forecast for next week is high temperatures.
For the safety of the dogs, all classes are cancelled.
We do not want you making unnecessary journeys.
Plenty of shade, cool water and rest for everyone.
Have agreat week. 🌞
We shouldn't need to remind anyone, but we will anyway.
Missing a walk has never harmed a dog.
With temperatures set to reach almost 30 degrees tomorrow, please take care of your animals. Avoid walking dogs, particularly on tarmac and pavements. Keep your rabbits and other outdoor pets sheltered. Ensure all animals have plenty of water and cool places to rest. Check the temperature of fish tanks and ponds. Stay safe, everyone! 🌞🌞🌞

Many people buy puppies unseen, many buy on impulse or have "designer breeds" of totally inappropriate crosses and pay way too much for them.

Our next courses are now available to book via the website 😃
Over the next 2 days we're going to experience hotter than average temperatures.
Common sense should tell us that our dogs need extra care when it's hot.
Some dogs, such as Brachycephalic ( short nosed, flat faced) breeds, elderly , heavy coated , puppies & those recuperating from surgery, need even more care.
Ensure they have access to cool water at all times, use fans to circulate air, damp towels to lay on are helpful too.
Walks should only take place very early or late in the evenings, or skipped altogether if necessary.
Dogs in the UK don't have time to acclimatise to hot weather, only last week we had rain and low temperatures. You may find if you give your dog a good groom you'll get lots of undercoat out.
If your pale skinned dog has recently been clipped, or has pink nose or ears, don't forget the sun block.
Keep them safe. !!
Hi everyone, due to low numbers on the next courses ( everyone seems to be going on holiday 🏝) & Lorraine's back deciding to fall apart!! The next courses are now starting on July 8th. ( Hoopers July 10th)
The website will be updated to reflect this soon.
Huge congratulations to everyone on their Good Citizen Award successes this evening.
We were lucky with the weather and the majority of exercises took place outside, with added distractions.
Cooper, Opal & Luna achieved the Bronze award.
Drift & Rafa, the Silver award & Brock the Gold award.
Thanks as always to our The Kennel Club UK examiner Iain Lewis KCAI (Ag* Rc)
We hope to see everyone again to train towards their next level 🐾
This is so important.

Az, Camiyah, Charlie & Zoe have all made the UK Hoopers league finals which are being held next month 🐾🎉
Some of the moves we teach in our improvers class. With an older dog, like Miss Trix, this becomes part of our fitness routine too. These simple exercises ensure the dog bends both ways and engage their hind legs. You can see by her body language that Miss Trix loves to work, despite having a few medical issues. If you teach the basics clearly and correctly your dog learns to follow your cues and everything becomes so much easier.
