Today Jo & Sharon judged The National Nosework Association Enhanced Stage trial at Glenwood Academy.
The wind was howling through the exterior search but at least it stayed dry.

We saw some lovely searches and one really stood out on the exterior for Nina & Lylla, it was beautiful to watch and they received their first Synergy Award.

On top of that they took home the winners medal and Chris & Watson performed so well today and took the reserve medal.

Great work from all the teams today.

Today was our Howl-o-ween Fun Search.
Teams tackled the spooky graveyard, the haunted cabin, the witches den and some other areas that I can’t think up spooky names for.
8 teams to up the challenge and the winners were The Witches of Sh!twick!

Nosework & Trailing

I became involved with scentwork in 2012 and it has been a growing obsession ever since. The dogs nose is such an amazing thing and so under-utilised in training and mental stimulation for pet dogs.

Scentwork has been part of the K9 Solutions training package for about 5 years and it is now time to give it it’s own home and brand and so K9 Scent & Search UK has been launched. A dedicated page and website for the nosework and trailing enthusiast to find all the information they need on courses, workshops & trials.

I am a member of the Elite WSDA Scent Squad, a trainer and judge for Scentwork UK and have completed trail training with Jeff Schettler of GAK9 and Karin Lee of British Mantrailing Association.

Our aim is to bring nosework and trailing to pet dog owners for fun, fitness and stimulation. Give our clients something to aim for whilst having fun with their dogs.
