Runaround - Connect Enrich Explore Runaround provided small animal housing for Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Ferrets and Hamsters that was designed to meet their behavioural needs.

Runaround has now closed as of 31/05/2024. It is with deepest regret to announce that Runaround has closed as of 31/05/2024. In the light of increased cost of raw materials and a cost-of-living crisis the business has become unsustainable, and we are faced with no option but to cease supply. We still believe in what Runaround and its products stand for, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, and all small

animals deserve suitable housing to stretch out, explore, relax, and binky. We encourage all Runaround customers and small animal owners to continue searching for suitable small animal housing, and our blogs will remain live to educate owners on the correct ways to house small animals. We will still be monitoring our emails. So, If you have any questions about the closure or your existing orders please email [email protected], and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you so much for your support over the years. It has been an amazing journey, and we hope your small animals have loved their Runaround's. Sincerely,
The Runaround Team

Thank you so much to all the owners and their small animals who have supported Runaround over the years.

Without you, there would be less suitable housing, less binkying and less room for small animals to explore.

It has been a pleasure helping you to create unique and wonderful housing to improve the lives of your furry friends, and we hope they continue to enjoy their Runaround for years to come.

Our website will remain live, with blogs, FAQs and videos to help you on your suitable small animal housing journey. Our emails will also be open to any questions you may have.

We are truly grateful for all the support and wish you and your small animals all the best.

Sincerely,
The Runaround Team

🌟 BRRRR… It sure is cold outside! 🌨️🐇🐹

❄️ As the harsh weather approaches, let's not forget to protect our furry friends! Here are some important winter safety tips for rabbits and guinea pigs:
1. Shelter them from the elements, keeping housing warm in winter is very important. Housing should be positioned so that wind, rain, snow, or sleet can’t blow in.

2. Keep them warm, adding lots of extra bedding such as Nap & Nest will ensure your small animals stay toasty!

3. Don’t let their water freeze over, you should regularly check their water to ensure that it hasn’t frozen.

4. Feed them a little more hay! Outdoor rabbits and guinea pigs need more calories to keep warm. Give them lots of good quality hay to nibble on.

5. Keep them together, rabbits and guinea pigs need a companion, keeping them in pairs or small groups also means they'll keep each other cosy during the cold weather.

6. Bringing your small animals inside for the winter requires caution as they may struggle to adjust to the temperature change. This transition can cause stress due to the many changes they will experience, such as new sights, sounds, and potential changes to their routine and housing. Minimising stress during this transition is crucial for the wellbeing of your small animals.

Let's make sure our small pets stay safe, healthy, and happy during the winter months! Share your own tips and experiences in the comments below. 🐾❤️

Did you know that the original rabbit hutch was created in Victorian times? Unfortunately, not much has changed since then regarding housing small animals.

The Rabbit Welfare Association and Fund found that over 60% of hutches available for sale in stores and online were smaller than the minimum requirements.

We believe that small animals deserve proper care and that's why we're committed to making sure they have the space they need to thrive.
Join us in spreading the word about proper housing for rabbits, and let's make sure we're doing our part to keep them happy and healthy.
