Catherine is an avid animal lover who’s IMDT trained (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers) and Level 5, Professional Canine Behaviourist (Canine Principles) trained. Catherine is gold member of NARPS, the association of professional dog walkers and pet sitters. Accredited and certified courses covering:

Catherine has 6 of her own rescue dogs, all from significantly dysfunctional backgrounds, so understands how much patience, rehabilitation and understanding some dogs need to feel happy and secure. Pet Trails will always work with your pet as an individual, based on their needs and making sure we fully support them growing in confidence and happiness. We believe that working to your pets boundaries and time frames are imperative to form a successful bond, so we don't push your pets to do anything they feel uncomfortable about doing. It's essential to gain trust and to work on the pets terms, to have a long lasting respectful, trusted and happy relationship. We are 100% reliable, flexible, trustworthy and we provide a service which allows you to fully trust us with your pets and home. End of the weeks fun and frolics! 🐾❤️

Well we’ve had tears saying goodbye to some of our beautiful dogs who are moving, our last cuddles were sooooo heartfelt 🥰 and then lots of fun and games with beautiful play, beautiful dogs and lots of kiss chase! 🐶

It’s been a lovely week, but it’s always so sad saying goodbye to dogs we love and who we’ve had with us for many years! 🥲

Well all good things sadly must come to an end! Recently we’ve had lots of our long term, Pet Trails pooches all moving away to start their new lives out of our area 💔😭

Whilst we’re so happy for their families and we’re excited for them to move onto pastures new, we’re so sad to have to have to say goodbye to these beautiful dogs (and humans!).

So Dolly, Alfie, Woody, Wilma, Max and Olaf…..

Thank you - for teaching us so, so much, for letting us bond with you and love you, for all the whacky, crazy giggles, zoomies and play! For all the cuddles and the kisses and for the time we’ve been blessed enough to share with you! Each and every one of you are such beautiful and special dogs who we love to infinity and beyond! 🥰

We hope we see you at some point in our future and our paths cross again! 🙏

Good luck to your Mums and Dads and keep us posted with how you’re all getting on! You will always be part of the Pet Trails family! We hope your new dog walkers love you even more than we do (that’s not possible, but we will just pretend!) 🤣😂😎❤️

Joining us at the trike we have Sam from a HL resident and owner of F&T 💙

With 15 years experience working with guide dogs as a puppy development advisor, Sam has seen how important enrichment is for all dogs, and so F&T was born!

Passionate about canine wellbeing, Sam wanted to create toys to provide play and downtime for dogs as well as providing a place that owners can find tried and tested toys to actually benefit their dogs.

As well as her range of dog toys, Sam provides an invaluable online resource for owners to research and understand dog behavioural concerns. Working closely with trusted professionals to bring science based information to dog owners.

I’m delighted to have completed this course specialising in ‘Canine Reactive Behaviour’ via Canine Principles 🐶

It’s important to always keep learning, keep refining and improving our knowledge when working with dogs, and it’s essential to properly understand reactive and aggressive behaviours - as they’re two very different things!!

In deepening our understanding of this important area of potential dog behaviour, we can best support the dogs we work with, who may struggle with these types of behaviours and help them to feel safer and more confident and make alternative choices🙏🐾
