If you go down to the woods today...

How often do you change your walks and go on a sniffing exploration somewhere new?

Lily has lots of energy and after an hour and a bit (we did got lost) she was exhausted from all the sniffing and exploring.

We went where her nose went which is probably why we got lost.

Sniffing is a great activity for your dog that really tires them out (the extra steps also tired me out too!)

These are my favourite local woods to explore.
Clowes Wood
Hay Wood
Shadowbrook Woods

Are there any others I should add to the list?

This year could be the beginning of something exciting for both you and your dog.

Perhaps it's mastering new tricks, exploring different walks, or simply spending more quality time together.

My favourite part of the month is when I get to step into my creative zone of genius and come up with all the activities that we are going to do in the following month.

In the past the dogs have decorated their own super hero capes in Super Hero month, they've tackled the nightmare slalom sprint in the Monsters & Mutts month, and this month they have completed the Ringmasters Chase Challenge in the Greatest Dog Show on Earth month.

What will February bring I wonder?

I love seeing the dogs engage with all the activities and watching their confidence grow as they learn a new trick, or try a new challenge.

If you're stuck for some fresh new ideas of fun activities to do with your dog then I have something special for you.

A crazy or a genius idea?

3 years ago when I decided to start the business I had ZERO experience with dogs.

I'd never walked a dog
I'd never owned a dog
I'd never even thought about owning a dog

At the time I thought I must be crazy, but now looking back I think having zero experience was the best thing.

It meant I had to go on a very fast and steep learning curve into the world of dog.

And through this learning I recognised what dogs actually wanted...enriching activities.

'Mission Rebarkable' is the process I use when planning the activity adventures.

It means that each month we

✅play new games
✅learn new tricks
✅solve new challenges
✅sniff out new scent work
✅try out calming activities

Each month the theme changes and we have a brand new set of activities to work through.

I'm just putting together February's activity adventure and I can't wait for the team to dive right in.

Can you guess the theme?

I have now changed the name of this page from The Pet Sitter Solihull to Rebarkable Activity Adventures.

Whilst The Pet Sitter Solihull is still in full operation and is still our trading name I didn't feel that it aligned with the Facebook posts I was sharing.

As I don't currently have any capacity to take on any new overnight pet sit clients and our boarding service has limited availability for 2025 it seemed appropriate to change the name of the page to Rebarkable.

Rebarkable Activity Adventures take place each week for small groups of dogs in a secure and safe environment. Our activities change each month and January's theme is The Greatest Showdog.

The activities are engaging, enriching, exciting and fun.

If your dog is looking to make new friends, play new games, try new challenges, and learn new tricks and wants to be part of Team Rebarkable then click here to apply >>>

Whether you need a doggy adventure, a pet sitter, or a cat feeder, we have a range of services to suit you and your pet(s).

🚨 MYSTERY SOLVED! 🚨
Sam has been revealed as the mastermind behind the Santa Kidnapping Mystery! 🐾🎄

But wait—before you get the wrong idea, Sam didn’t mean any harm! 🐕❤️ This sweet greyhound only wanted to rename the holiday to “Christsam” to add a little personal flair to the celebrations. Santa is safe and sound, and Sam’s intentions were as pure as freshly fallen snow. ❄️✨

Case closed, detectives! 🎅🐾 Let’s all give Sam a wag of approval for being such a creative (and kind) holiday visionary. 🎁🐶

Who kidnapped Santa? 🎅

🎁 Day 24 🎁

The mystery solved!

Once upon a chilly December night, when snowflakes danced through the air and twinkling lights lined every street, something strange happened at the North Pole.

Santa Claus was all set for his big Christmas Eve journey when, all of a sudden, he vanished! His sleigh sat still, the reindeer ready to go, but Santa was nowhere to be found.

Rumors quickly spread that one of the 24 playful dogs in the village had something to do with it. But who could it be? Surely, none of these sweet dogs would want to ruin Christmas!

The elves searched high and low, but every clue led them in circles. It wasn’t until the final day, Christmas Eve, that they found a letter written in sparkly paw prints, signed by none other than Sam.

In the letter, Sam confessed: “I didn’t kidnap Santa because I’m a bad dog—I’m a good dog, I promise! I just had a little idea... You see, I’ve always wanted Christmas to be named after me! So I thought maybe, just for this year, we could celebrate ‘Christsam’ instead of Christmas.”

The elves chuckled as they read Sam’s letter. He hadn’t meant any harm at all!

Santa was perfectly safe, resting comfortably in Sam’s cozy dog bed with plenty of biscuits to snack on. Sam had just wanted to spread some extra joy—“Christsam” joy!

Santa, being the jolly and kind man that he is, patted Sam on the head and said, “You know what, Sam? I like your spirit. How about this? We keep calling it Christmas, but we’ll throw the biggest ‘Christsam’ party for you and all the dogs after I deliver all the gifts tonight!”

And so, Sam wagged his tail and barked with excitement. Christmas (and Christsam!) was saved, and Santa made sure every dog had an extra special present in their stocking that year. From that day on, Sam became the most famous dog at the North Pole—known as the hound who loved Christmas so much, he wanted to make it his own!

🚨 SUSPECT CLEARED! 🚨
Benji has been proven INNOCENT! 🐾✨

Why? Sure, he made it onto Santa’s naughty list for jumping into the canal (classic Benji mischief 🐕💦), but this lovable rascal knew Santa wouldn’t stay cross with him forever. Kidnap Santa? No way! Benji’s too busy splashing and wagging his tail to be part of such a caper.

Another suspect crossed off the list… but the mystery isn’t solved yet. Who’s the real culprit? 👀🐶

🎁 Day 23 🎁

Who did Santa put on the naughty list for jumping in to the canal?

22/12/2024

🚨 MYSTERY UPDATE! 🚨
Luna has been declared INNOCENT! 🐾✨

Why? This clever pup was far too busy using her incredible nose to sniff out balls and hidden treasures! 🎾🐶 With all her attention focused on her favourite game, Luna simply had no time for any Santa-related shenanigans.

Another suspect cleared, but the search for the real culprit continues… Who’s behind it all? 👀🐕

Who kidnapped Santa? 🎅

🎁 Day 22 🎁

I’m soft and friendly, with a wagging tail,
In the fields and parks, I love to trail.
My floppy ears catch every sound,
With a nose so keen, I’m the best around.

I love to fetch and play with glee,
A loyal companion, just wait and see.
In the moonlight, my name shines bright,
Who am I, bringing joy day and night?

21/12/2024

🚨 SUSPECT CLEARED! 🚨
Bonnie H the Black Lab is officially INNOCENT! 🐾✨

Why? This playful pup was far too busy jumping in puddles and rolling in the grass to even think about causing any holiday mischief! 🌧️🐕

Bonnie’s joy is in the splash, not in stealing Santa.

Another innocent dog checked off the list, but the mystery continues... Who’s the real culprit? 👀🐶

21/12/2024

Only three dogs remain as our possible suspects.

Is it Benji Julie Lawrence, or Luna Louise Gresty or Sam Lynne Stevens

🎁 Day 21 🎁

Do you understand dog language?
The dogs have got a clue for you...

“Nuh bork Boofna”

Here's some clues to help you understand 'dog'

Nah Bork snif chewtug!

🚨 NEW DEVELOPMENT! 🚨
Bonnie S has been declared INNOCENT! 🐾✨

Why? This festive dog was far too busy getting herself tangled up in Christmas lights while trying to help decorate the tree! 🎄🎀 Bonnie’s enthusiasm for spreading holiday cheer left her all wrapped up—literally—but definitely not in any Santa drama.

Another suspect off the list… but the mystery isn’t solved yet. Who’s behind it all? 👀🐶

🎁 Day 20 🎁
Who got in a pickle trying to put the Christmas Tree lights up?
