Here at Truemans Heath Riding School we believe riding is about connecting with your horse, forming a lasting bond and helping you unlock the potential that is always there in anyone wanting to learn. ction - we call it "the Magic of Riding". WHAT IS THE MAGIC OF RIDING? The ‘Magic of Riding’ is not just a phrase, but a philosophy. It is a way of riding, a way of teaching, and a way caring for these wonderful horses. The ‘Magic of Riding’ is not something everyone will achieve, but something everyone can achieve; you have to be willing to look for the ‘Magic of Riding’ to find it. The ‘Magic of Riding’ means more than just sitting on a horse – it is about learning to be a rider and not just a passenger; learning to think and to connect, to feel and not just to see – to appreciate life from a horse’s point of view as well as our own. The ‘Magic of Riding’ is the ethos of a journey that will last a lifetime; we aim to bring this ‘magic’ to all our customers, and hope they too can join us on this wonderful journey.

Fun games to play and lots of fabulous prizes to be won on our tombola. Including vouchers from some local business’ (see photos below for some of the prizes on offer)

Thank you for all our customers who braved the elements today 🌧️🌧️

As always, we run a horse care lesson when the weather is unsuitable for riding. This is a great way of building up not only your knowledge on the ground but building a bond with your 4 legged friends.

In the event we would need to cancel all lessons we would give you as much notice as possible.

As a reminder we do operate a 24 hour cancellation policy. Those who do not contact us within this time will owe for the lesson.

Fingers crossed for some drier weather on the horizon. Looking forward to seeing you over the festive period 🎄🎅🏽

Earlier this week Horace and Alfie made a special visit to the children at Hollywood Primary school to take part in their Christmas extravaganza!

Open to all ages whether you currently ride with us or not.

£7 per child includes a visit to Santa, his special ‘reindeer’ friends and a gift!

You may know Celia who volunteers with us, What you may not know is as her ‘day job’ she is the owner of Billibob Designs where she designs and makes ready to wear and bespoke fine silver jewellery which reflects her love of nature, pets and, of course,horses.

We are delighted that Celia’s equine jewellery is now available to see and buy here at the riding school. To celebrate this, Celia is offering £5 off her best seller, the Horse Hair Key ring. Many of our horse tails are available as they have all needed a winter trim! And there is an added bonus that £5 on every sale will go towards treats and new winter coats for our lovely horses.

Have a look when you next come, it could make a very special present. We should know, most of the team at Truemans have one!

Hello everyone,

It is with great sadness and very heavy hearts that we wanted to let you know that Sergeant passed away this afternoon.

In his time as part of the Truemans Heath family, Sergeant was always a gentle giant and an incredibly friendly boy to everyone who came to say hello to him.

Sergeant had a great presence within the herd and got on well with all the gang which made him great in his role of leading file.

He was gentle with the children and could often be used for grooming on pony for the mornings. Picking his feet out however was always a two person job!

In the winter, when Sergeant realised it was time to come in, it was a precise and strategic event making sure you could let him in at speed whilst fending off everyone else. This meant he always had to stay in on Sundays as haying up was virtually impossible with him in the field as he’d block the gate and stand firm. Meanwhile chaos ensuing all around, Sergeant and Hurley would be on the naughty step together.

Needless to say a massive, massive hole has been left. We thank you Sergeant for being such a wonderful friend and team mate.

At times like this it’s hard not to get caught up in the sadness of losing such a trusted companion and friend, but we want to take this opportunity to reflect on all the happy memories Sergeant has gifted us, and for that we thank him dearly.

Sergeant would like to say a huge thank you to all who donated baked goods for our cake sale and also those who purchased and ate the baked goods!! He’s pleased to say we raised just over £250 which will be a huge help towards caring for the horses over the winter months! 🍰❤️🐴
