We had some new arrivals in clinic today 🦆🐣!!
It’s been a busy day in the clinic today with 2 surgeries booked in! Luckily we’ve had a spare pair of hands to help us check theatre is all ready for them. Here he is making sure the winch is safe to use so that we can move our patients on to the operating table.
Here at W&M we are lucky enough to offer surgeries in clinic with our own vets, as well as hosting visiting surgeons to perform certain procedures. This allows us to fully work up and treat the majority of our cases on-site which is much more convenient for our clients and their horses!
Naughty elf was “helping out” in the lab today…, got a bit carried away spinning some bloods 😂
The weather stopped play for a lot of us this weekend but our naughty elf was in action!! He tried to steal Snap for a clinic on the fabulous Somerford XC techniques arena but fortunately Daga took over before any jumping was involved!!
We’re all ready and waiting with lots of cake!! Come on over to the clinic today from 10.30, and help us support a fantastic charity Macmillan Cancer Support
Over the last couple of weeks the veterinary and nursing team have undergone some informal first aid training. We are very experienced dealing with animal related emergencies but do occasionally find ourselves in situations where a human needs help and we felt it was important the team felt confident to provide care in these thankfully rare but potentially serious situations.
We covered topics from CPR to wounds to choking and the sessions were interactive, informative and interesting thanks to Amy at SO Coach Training.
Love the nodding dog video of Annie, Gemma, Lou and Abi perfecting their CPR techniques!
