A gentle session with the one and only Arabian King👑 This one was kept short and sweet as at this point in his journey ridden work is very physically and mentally demanding for him💫 The main focus of this session was to find relaxation and softness in his body and mind, with a rider on his back, in the arena so that in the future when harder questions are more frequently asked he will respond from a place of safety and trust in his rider. I absolutely love that his human always gives him the option of saying no and always listens when he does💫 The great thing about this is that he understands how to communicate his uncertainty and absolutely will not do something if he does not feel comfortable doing so and trusts that his human will understand and respond in a way that brings the best out in him - creating the mindset of a horse that does not comply to work with you but strives to work with you💫
The start of his session can often come with tension and apprehension, so it was lovely that he was able to explore ways to release this tension and bring his focus to me💫 It was important to include lots of little breaks to give him a chance to process and to avoid becoming over stimulated - those that are familiar with the Arab breed will know just how exuberant they can be 🤪 and again this work is very physically demanding of him so recognising the small wins and understanding that his tolerance of me being on board is to be respected, will ensure he is not put into a situation he is not physically or mentally ready for💫
As I always say, they are the teachers, we are the students and I believe we put both ourselves and their physical and mental wellbeing in danger if we fail to see this💫❤️

🚨🐴 Hey everyone - Long time no see - but I'm BACK and ready for some exciting changes ahead 😁🌟
I've been a bit quieter on here than usual but that's only because I have been diving deeper into the work I love - connecting with these incredible horses through feel, observation and instinct🐎💫 And ofcourse continuing my journey of seeking knowledge and experience with as many individuals as possible - I love feeding my brain with everyones varying perceptions and experiences and combining them all 🤓
Authenticity is the 🔑 to your designated path - I don't work to impress or speed up results, I work to nurture and build the silent language between horse and human. Taking accountability for our bodies and minds and understanding that their direct and indirect influence is apart of the horses environment and will therefore dictate the standard of response/reaction our horses will feedback to us when something has been asked/expected of them.
Every action, decision, thought, emotion that we have, in every moment, is manifested from our internal or external environment - this is the same for all living organisms 🪱🦍🐬 A simple example is the process of growing a plant or flower - this whole process and standard of outcome is dictated by it's environment and how well it is cared for. We also understand that it takes TIME 🕛 To add to this (a potentially controversial point so I'll be brief, but we love that😉) if you just look out at the world around you right now you will instantly notice the amount of suffering and just general unhappiness that humans are experiencing due to a lack of appropriate environments, both internal (mind and body) and external (what we perceive through our senses) resulting in us not operating at our highest potential💫This is why it is my mission to continue nurturing my environment and that of the absolutely magical horses that I have the pleasure of working with. It is a PROCESS📝and takes TIME🕕
💖Stay tuned to follow this journey💖

Yesterday the fabulous Arabian King showed us the wind and rain was no match for him. Coming from the warm climates of Dubai this lovely boy isn't very keen on our wet British weather and can find it hard to concentrate and stay relaxed. Yesterday's focus was groundwork with the aim of finding relaxation and listening ears amongst the wind and rain, because there will be many days where this will be the environment he will be in and we can't avoid working on those days forever! He was able to find relaxation and remain focused so we thought let's just head to the mounting block with no intention other than observing his body language. He stepped up to the mounting block super chilled so we took the opportunity and on I got. You can tell by our faces how happy we were about this 😁 I didn't really expect it to go any further than this without causing a big stress response but with that thought Hilal stepped away all on his own and took me for a super chilled ride around the yard. That really is such a huge deal for him😍

Success is defined by you not the whispers of the outside world and being able to recognise these small wins can make these long winter months seem a little less dull. To many this won't sound like much but there is nothing more valuable to me than having a happy, relaxed and willing horse next to and underneath me, where communication is seemless and light. 💫🤍🤍

Snippet from a fabulous training session with Caron Roberts. Considering this was the first ever time I had sat on the beautiful Tana, that she has been out of the arena for some time and on the slightly older side of life , I don't think we did a bad job 😁 A super fun mare to be partnered with, massive thankyou to Sara and Mandy for trusting me with her😍❤️

Some sweet moments from yesterdays visit with my favourite Arabian King👑 It has always fascinated me at how incredibly sensitive he is, he communicates himself so well and is so expressive, he moves around you from merely just a thought and intention, just like he would with other members of his herd.
Here we are turning the mounting block into the hugging/connection station. Conveying the message that this area is where horse and human connect and where peace and stillness from both parties needs to be cultivated. We must ensure both our horses and ourselves feel safe at the moment of mounting, it’s surprising how many things can go wrong here both mentally and physically and most importantly we MUST, at the very least, remember the burdens we approach the mounting block with and pile on to their backs (emotions, physical and mental inbalances, expectations, weight, inability to maintain tone through body, lack of muscle tone , the list goes on!) They do not ask for this lifestyle and I think we could all agree they would do just fine in this world if left in peace with members of their own species roaming open outdoor spaces. Despite this they still show up for us every second of the day, they will bare our burdens and heal us on levels that can’t be translated into words, I think it’s time they get the respect they deserve♾💫🤍

The path to his ‘success’ was once all about the fast pace, now slow and steady will win this race😉 (i’m far too proud about that rhyming🤣)
With each session this handsome chap grows stronger and his trust deepens. We are still addressing a few locomotive issues but he is doing so well at this new lease of life☺️🤍💫

I have adored re connecting with the most magnificent Arabian King over these past few weeks😍 My dear Molly was so in love with this fabulous boy and they became super fond of eachother, so it has really filled my heart to see him again🥰 He is so expressive and incredibly sensitive, he has been an amazing teacher ♾
Hilal has had some time off to heal and rest, so we are now slowly preparing and building towards ridden and regular fitness and strengthening work, with the current main focus being connection and trust between horse and human💫🤍

Not a bad view for a spot of poo picking to finish the day yesterday😍 I’ll never get bored of this🥰

It was also a successful visit with this gentle giant 💫 He is really starting to understand the method of finding balance through his body and steps and engagement of thoracic sling, through slow and steady movements. He is able to follow my body without too much resistance. Whilst we are still building muscle and getting the miles on his clock back up we can’t expect too much of him or force him to stay in a contact for longer than he is able otherwise he will compensate through other areas of his body. He also needs to feel confident in the riders intention and actions , so it’s been really important to stay patient and be clear in my intention. Loving this time with him 💫🤍

Another proud moment with this gorgeous lady the other day🥰 We had a very relaxing hack, she was able to take in her surroundings without setting her head and neck the whole way and I was able to ride on the buckle even after turning for home! Another big step forwards for this gorgeous girl this week💫 Her first hack in a very long time around the local fields, with lots of things that could have easily spooked her she was able to stay connected and responsive rather than disengaged and reactive. She was able to think and process what was going on around her and offered a listening ear instead of reacting from a fight/flight state. Super happy with this😁💫🤍

I am dangerously falling in love with this chap😍 After coming off the race track and some well deserved down time, we have started guiding this handsome man into a new walk of life. He is proving to be a real gentle giant and is going to create such a beautiful partnership with a very lucky someone one day🥰 Getting lots of groundwork and emotional regulation into our foundations, which he has brought so much ease too! First hack out yesterday and he really surprised us with his beautiful attitude🥰 Another exciting project😁💫🤍

Some lovely shots from a quick little play with this legend! I have been giving Bandit and his lovely humans riding lessons and they have been doing incredible together 🥰 but last week we decided to incorporate some groundwork, to help re build some trust and confidence. He is going to be such a fun dance partner, a super keen bean😁 Can’t wait for the next few sessions 🦄💫

This little collage of photos below is how we help a laminitic hoof grow out without invasive trimming methods or shoes.

Unfortunately it's still incredibly common to see professionals chopping the toe off a laminitic horse without considering the consequences. We see a huge amount of Laminitic horses through our own rehab work, in addition to working with owners around the globe seeking advice and support.

The sad reality is that invasive trimming like this does nothing but drastically prolong recovery and increase the pain levels of the horse suffering from Laminitis. When the toe is removed, the horse is then forced to weight bear entirely on their already very painful sole. The owner is then left with not only a metabolic, laminitic horse but one that now needs additional, often intense support to help them through the pain of being dumped onto a sole that was never meant to bear 100% of their weight completely.

This particular foot belongs to Barney, a rehab case we took on in 2021 for approximately a year. In that time, he underwent a huge whole body transformation and went home a completely different horse. There was no need for shoes or chopping off the toes and he was supported through a species appropriate diet, daily movement and a natural trim that supported his whole body whilst he grew a new hoof capsule.

The first photo on the top left was taken in January 2021 and the last photo on the bottom right was taken in September 2021.

Some more progress shots of this magnificent mare💫 We are really starting to reap the benefits of guiding her to regulate and handle her emotions and reactions aswell as the all important TRUST between horse and human💫
Instead of aggressively licking and chewing (often mistaken as processing or changing state, this can actually also be an anxiety/stress sign) being unable to stand still and totally disengaging when mounting, we had a lovely moment of release and she was aware and accepting of the process. Once I was sat sat in the saddle she did move away before asked so I decided to dismount and try again in order to create the understanding that it is much safer for us to keep feet still until human is set and ready to go. She has been very used to forward and go so I have been showing her that SLOWING down, taking a minute to process and taking a breath is a much easier way to figure out what’s going on. I make it clear through my intention and actions that I do not expect her to just go and run around with her eyes closed and anxiously hoping that she’s doing the right thing. Instead we focus on finding the same level of relaxtion that we can achieve on the ground and of-course allowing the both of us to enjoy it! Then when I see and feel that she is relaxed and connected to me I can guide her to find a higher level of balance through her body and contact to rider, this is a very slow and steady process focusing on every part of every step.
Still have lots to work on but I am thoroughly enjoying the progress this lovely lady is making 🥰💫🦄🤍

☀️ Summer Holidays ☀️
Riding lessons🦄 During this term time I have opened up some slots for teaching😁 Currently I can only offer sessions to those with access to a horse/pony however, please don’t hesitate to get in contact if you or your child does not have access to one as I have something in the works for this🤞 I am currently offering sessions for any age from beginner up to novice level. I started my teaching journey at a BHS approved riding centre around 5 years ago where I taught a range of private and group sessions. I have been teaching ever since and always have a happy, smiling and usually sweaty 😅 client at the end of every session. I have a strong passion for teaching the younger ones a more conscious and fun approach to horsemanship. I have a variety of certificates and mini rosettes to work towards, which I have found really gives them something to go away and focus and reflect on, 2 very important skills involved with any kind of horsemanship! I also involve a few breath work exercises to help with focus and relaxation 🦄 Very affordable prices 💫 I cover Bath and surrounding areas, Wiltshire, Warminster, Shepton Mallet, Bradford-On-Avon. Please don’t hesitate to get in contact!🦄

More big steps forward for this very elegant young lady 😁 we have been heavily focused on emotional regulation and responsibility to create balance in the mind, through groundwork and liberty play, all has lead to these beautiful moments. She has been started in the past on a few occasions but developed a heavy stress response and resulted in being very reactive and a little unpredictable, so it’s been so important to take time with a whole load of patience and understanding. I have been working with her to show her how to be responsible for her own emotions and in turn reactions. She carried me beautifully and was able to really relax and enjoy the time together. This was from yesterday, I kept everything slow but ‘in flow’ encouraging her to find the balance in her body and mind by finding it in my own body and mind. We followed up with the same routine this morning and once again she was an absolute superstar, even with all the wind which used to cause a lot of spooking. Now we can look to start hacking 😁 So excited for this lady’s future 💫🦄🤍

Re-uploading the FULL clip of this session as Facebook decided to cut half of my previous upload🤯

Working with this beauty of a dance partner earlier in the week💫 Here you will see us communicating through the power of presence, shaping energy through body placement, hand position and intention, FEELING and being AWARE of each others body language. No treats have been used in any of our sessions to achieve this. She is really starting to become more comfortable with close range work and becomes more trusting in me with each visit. Here, we are working on feeling safe around the mounting block and the mounting process. This work is so powerful and really does show you the level of RESPECT and true UNDERSTANDING of one another. Does your horse feel safe enough to be in your space among other stimulations and temptations? Are you able to communicate with merely the beginning of a thought and hold yourself in a non reactive state? Are you able to demonstrate enough RESPECT and PATIENCE to allow your horse to explore their surroundings and bodies? Are you WILLING to let go of all expectations and assumed knowledge? These are just a small few of the elements involved in my work💫
