🤠DOUBLE TROUBLE🤠

‼️Fully aware we have a wonky bridle, these pics were taken just after a loving brotherly head rub 🤣

🦁Last week myself, Cruisey and Hal (2 barefoot and bitless baddies👯) went for a little adventure around longleat woods, they were an absolute pleasure to take out 🥰

Absolutely love riding around here and the best company as always 🥰💖

Beautiful Tommy enjoying a head scratch mid schooling session, with his little scoot boots on😍

It was extremely important for me to acknowledge that this was a stressful experience for him, due to being asked to go into a new environment away from the security of his friends, after our hack had finished and our hacking buddy had been put away. We had the goal of doing some schooling exercises in one of the turn out fields after our hack but he found it confusing and stressful, due to the change in the usual routine. I could have became forceful and 'just pushed him through it', however, I remained completely neutral in my seat and mind, kept the questions very small and ensured my aids were extremely subtle, to avoid flooding his brain with too much stimulus, which could have lead to complying with tension rather than offering and exploring relaxation. The goal changed to ensuring that he had the most positive experience possible for that moment and that I showed him there is no punishment for expressing his genuine flight animal reactions/responses. He is a horse, not a machine that can be programmed to fit the mold of human desire it is up to the human to learn the individual personalities and movement capabilities of each horse, we must work to fit them. Not strap them down, push them through it and scream and shout at them for just being a horse and seeking relief from the human. Don't get me wrong safety does always come first and sometimes the choice of safety doesn't always come across so kindly or glamorous but its our own fault for involving ourselves and sitting on them in the first place. I believe these harsh reactions from humans come from the fear of feeling vulnerable and no desire to learn something new, we seem to like to believe we've got it all figured it out and hate to admit even to ourselves when we don't know something and unfortunately I see this taken out on our beautiful, sentient horses every single day. We must start to look deeper.

P.S Highly highly recommend a pair of Scoot Boots for your barefoot ponios! So quick and easy to put on and stay on in all terrain at all speeds!

🍂🐴💫 As the Autumn leaves fall and the crisp Winter air sets in, are you beginning to anticipate your horse's exercise routine? Wondering how on earth you are going to maintain and/or improve their fitness levels as the nights begin to draw in and your at work all day?

💫Thankfully I'm here to help! Working together with you and your horse I can tailor a weekly plan to help maintain your current schooling routine and ensure your horse's fitness and experience levels do not drop, if your time is becoming limited through the Autumn/Winter season!

💫I am currently offering a reduced fee for the first session to ensure that you and your horse are happy with me and my approach, for me it's all about the partnership and making sure that you can focus on your day without worrying about how you are going to fit everything in! The thought of someone else coming in to ride your horse can be super nerve wracking and stressful and most of us really don't like the idea of it! So this introductory session allows you the chance to watch me and your horse to see if I could be a helpful resource to maintain your routine and assist in reaching your goals!

A gentle session with the one and only Arabian King👑 This one was kept short and sweet as at this point in his journey ridden work is very physically and mentally demanding for him💫 The main focus of this session was to find relaxation and softness in his body and mind, with a rider on his back, in the arena so that in the future when harder questions are more frequently asked he will respond from a place of safety and trust in his rider. I absolutely love that his human always gives him the option of saying no and always listens when he does💫 The great thing about this is that he understands how to communicate his uncertainty and absolutely will not do something if he does not feel comfortable doing so and trusts that his human will understand and respond in a way that brings the best out in him - creating the mindset of a horse that does not comply to work with you but strives to work with you💫
The start of his session can often come with tension and apprehension, so it was lovely that he was able to explore ways to release this tension and bring his focus to me💫 It was important to include lots of little breaks to give him a chance to process and to avoid becoming over stimulated - those that are familiar with the Arab breed will know just how exuberant they can be 🤪 and again this work is very physically demanding of him so recognising the small wins and understanding that his tolerance of me being on board is to be respected, will ensure he is not put into a situation he is not physically or mentally ready for💫
As I always say, they are the teachers, we are the students and I believe we put both ourselves and their physical and mental wellbeing in danger if we fail to see this💫❤️

🚨🐴 Hey everyone - Long time no see - but I'm BACK and ready for some exciting changes ahead 😁🌟
I've been a bit quieter on here than usual but that's only because I have been diving deeper into the work I love - connecting with these incredible horses through feel, observation and instinct🐎💫 And ofcourse continuing my journey of seeking knowledge and experience with as many individuals as possible - I love feeding my brain with everyones varying perceptions and experiences and combining them all 🤓
Authenticity is the 🔑 to your designated path - I don't work to impress or speed up results, I work to nurture and build the silent language between horse and human. Taking accountability for our bodies and minds and understanding that their direct and indirect influence is apart of the horses environment and will therefore dictate the standard of response/reaction our horses will feedback to us when something has been asked/expected of them.
Every action, decision, thought, emotion that we have, in every moment, is manifested from our internal or external environment - this is the same for all living organisms 🪱🦍🐬 A simple example is the process of growing a plant or flower - this whole process and standard of outcome is dictated by it's environment and how well it is cared for. We also understand that it takes TIME 🕛 To add to this (a potentially controversial point so I'll be brief, but we love that😉) if you just look out at the world around you right now you will instantly notice the amount of suffering and just general unhappiness that humans are experiencing due to a lack of appropriate environments, both internal (mind and body) and external (what we perceive through our senses) resulting in us not operating at our highest potential💫This is why it is my mission to continue nurturing my environment and that of the absolutely magical horses that I have the pleasure of working with. It is a PROCESS📝and takes TIME🕕
💖Stay tuned to follow this journey💖

Yesterday the fabulous Arabian King showed us the wind and rain was no match for him. Coming from the warm climates of Dubai this lovely boy isn't very keen on our wet British weather and can find it hard to concentrate and stay relaxed. Yesterday's focus was groundwork with the aim of finding relaxation and listening ears amongst the wind and rain, because there will be many days where this will be the environment he will be in and we can't avoid working on those days forever! He was able to find relaxation and remain focused so we thought let's just head to the mounting block with no intention other than observing his body language. He stepped up to the mounting block super chilled so we took the opportunity and on I got. You can tell by our faces how happy we were about this 😁 I didn't really expect it to go any further than this without causing a big stress response but with that thought Hilal stepped away all on his own and took me for a super chilled ride around the yard. That really is such a huge deal for him😍

Success is defined by you not the whispers of the outside world and being able to recognise these small wins can make these long winter months seem a little less dull. To many this won't sound like much but there is nothing more valuable to me than having a happy, relaxed and willing horse next to and underneath me, where communication is seemless and light. 💫🤍🤍

Snippet from a fabulous training session with Caron Roberts. Considering this was the first ever time I had sat on the beautiful Tana, that she has been out of the arena for some time and on the slightly older side of life , I don't think we did a bad job 😁 A super fun mare to be partnered with, massive thankyou to Sara and Mandy for trusting me with her😍❤️

Some sweet moments from yesterdays visit with my favourite Arabian King👑 It has always fascinated me at how incredibly sensitive he is, he communicates himself so well and is so expressive, he moves around you from merely just a thought and intention, just like he would with other members of his herd.
Here we are turning the mounting block into the hugging/connection station. Conveying the message that this area is where horse and human connect and where peace and stillness from both parties needs to be cultivated. We must ensure both our horses and ourselves feel safe at the moment of mounting, it’s surprising how many things can go wrong here both mentally and physically and most importantly we MUST, at the very least, remember the burdens we approach the mounting block with and pile on to their backs (emotions, physical and mental inbalances, expectations, weight, inability to maintain tone through body, lack of muscle tone , the list goes on!) They do not ask for this lifestyle and I think we could all agree they would do just fine in this world if left in peace with members of their own species roaming open outdoor spaces. Despite this they still show up for us every second of the day, they will bare our burdens and heal us on levels that can’t be translated into words, I think it’s time they get the respect they deserve♾💫🤍

The path to his ‘success’ was once all about the fast pace, now slow and steady will win this race😉 (i’m far too proud about that rhyming🤣)
With each session this handsome chap grows stronger and his trust deepens. We are still addressing a few locomotive issues but he is doing so well at this new lease of life☺️🤍💫

I have adored re connecting with the most magnificent Arabian King over these past few weeks😍 My dear Molly was so in love with this fabulous boy and they became super fond of eachother, so it has really filled my heart to see him again🥰 He is so expressive and incredibly sensitive, he has been an amazing teacher ♾
Hilal has had some time off to heal and rest, so we are now slowly preparing and building towards ridden and regular fitness and strengthening work, with the current main focus being connection and trust between horse and human💫🤍

Not a bad view for a spot of poo picking to finish the day yesterday😍 I’ll never get bored of this🥰

It was also a successful visit with this gentle giant 💫 He is really starting to understand the method of finding balance through his body and steps and engagement of thoracic sling, through slow and steady movements. He is able to follow my body without too much resistance. Whilst we are still building muscle and getting the miles on his clock back up we can’t expect too much of him or force him to stay in a contact for longer than he is able otherwise he will compensate through other areas of his body. He also needs to feel confident in the riders intention and actions , so it’s been really important to stay patient and be clear in my intention. Loving this time with him 💫🤍

Another proud moment with this gorgeous lady the other day🥰 We had a very relaxing hack, she was able to take in her surroundings without setting her head and neck the whole way and I was able to ride on the buckle even after turning for home! This is a huge deal for her, it’s all about the small things 💫🤍
