Here are some top tips to keep your 'chick' -ens warm and happy this winter 🐔

❄️Insulate the coop - Cover the coop with blankets, bubble wrap, or cardboard. You can also stuff holes with straw or paper to block drafts, but make sure to leave ventilation holes open.
❄️Provide supplemental heat - Featherless ex-caged hens may benefit from a heat lamp. In colder climates, you can keep the living space at or slightly above freezing.
❄️Provide roosts - Roosts keep chickens off the cold floor and provide an elevated space for them to sleep.
❄️Provide a water defroster - A water defroster can radiate warmth and keep chickens from freezing.
