At Upper Lordswood Stables we are delighted to be able to offer of the British Horse Society Changing Lives through horses programme. Which is an alternative educational provision for those children and young people who are struggling or disengaged from a school environment.

The programme is designed for all key stages from age 5 to 25 and supports the development of 6 key personal, social and emotional skills through working alongside horses.

-Curriculum links to key stages 1-4 which covers both primary and secondary education.

-Option to take an accredited personal development qualification which sits on the OFQUAL framework and is the equivalent of a GCSE

-Ideal for those electively home educated, those with EHCP's, SEN or those struggling in mainstream education.

-The programme can be delivered on a 121 or small group basis.

-Places are funded by the schools, Local Authorities, Health and Social care funding and more.

✴️With the weather forecast tomorrow still looking wet and big winds I have made the decision to postpone the 26th January till the 1st Feb. Rabawn Black Betty 8 year Old Heavyweight Mare with super temperament. Good to clip, box and shoe. Hacks alone or in company schools well. Betty had a vetting in January 2024 and after further investigation xrays showed she has Sidebone in her front feet. This is currently managed with remedial shoeing and pads. She is in light ridden light rehab work and would be suited to a home wanting to gentle hacking or school at this current time. She has xrays and vet reports which can be seen and discussed in further detail. Betty is good to handle on the ground and in the stable, loves a groom and fuss. Kind willing mare not sharpe or silly. On sale on behalf of the owner. Please contact for more information

🐴 Horse Explorers🐴 This Wednesday 6pm care training at Lordswood. Below are the girls working towards their Lunging goals. Horse Explorers is open to Teenagers wanting to work towards their BHS stages or just learn more about riding and caring for their horses.
