My name is Helen and with We Like Walkies I provide professional dog walking services in South Shields and surrounding areas such as Whitburn, Boldon and Cleadon. My dogs Pip and Jess, Patterdale Terriers, give me hours of endless fun and love long walks. In 2016, after many years working in public sector management and customer services I decided to take the plunge and realise my dream of setting

up a dog walking business to give other busy people, or people who are no longer able, the opportunity for their dog/s to be walked in a safe and trustworthy environment. Owning a dog is a big commitment but sometimes, due to holidays, illness, work commitments, hospitalisation or other unforeseen circumstances, it may become difficult to care for your dog during the daytime. When you get in touch with me I will arrange a free, no obligation consultation meeting with you and your dog/s, so I can get to know you and understand you and your dog’s requirements. I am registered with NarpsUK, the National Association of Pet Sitters & Dog Walkers http://narpsuk.co.uk/profile/helenanthony. I am Criminal Records checked, NarpsUk certified, I have Canine and Feline First Aid training and am fully insured. My van is fully equipped with large secure crates.

Extra walks with Geordie the Spaniel this week. He and Bear just love a chase! Also with Pepsi and Jess. Jess seems to be coping well without her sister/littermate Pip. Can't believe it is a week without her!

Today our little girl Pip took her last walk ever. It was time. The price you pay for loving them is losing them, and knowing when to let them go. If love alone could have saved you, you would have lived forever. Sleep tight Pip ###

Awful weather today, some of the worst rain I have known in over 8 years of dog walking on my last walk. The dogs didn't mind though - Bear and Ziggy loved it at Marsden Old Quarry on that last walk. Still beats the Corporate World!

Meet Scout, the Cockapoo, Hugo's new little brother. It will be a while before he can come out on walks, but he seems very keen as he pinched a lead and dragged it into another room!

I am devastated to hear that Gatsby has gone over the Rainbow Bridge today, peacefully and at home with his Humans. I walked him for over six years until he moved away in July. Run free Gatsby!

I am devastated today to learn that Nellie has crossed the rainbow bridge. Reunited with her brother Rufus, who went recently too. Thoughts are with their Humans right now. Nellie was such a little character. They are both a huge miss!

Bertie joined us for a weekly walk a couple of weeks ago. Now that he is used to me I let him off-lead today and he was as good as gold!

I am absolutely devastated to learn that Rufus has crossed the Rainbow Bridge today. Thoughts go with his Humans and his sister Nellie. He was such a little character and I will miss him singing me the song of his people. It has been my absolute pleasure to walk him. Nanight Ruffie.

Hugo, after rolling around in a puddle...I thought his older brother Hiccup was bad, but it seems that Hugo loves a muddy puddle even more!

Today on our first walk we bumped into our very good friends of Walkies This Way, with Fargo, Hugo and Tavish. Always lovely to see dogs getting on so well. Our pack was Bear, Rosie, Brody, Meg, Molly, Bessie and Pixie.
