We Like Walkies Professional Dog Walking Services, Puppy Pop-In Service My family has owned dogs all my life and I have personally owned dogs for over thirty years.

My name is Helen and with We Like Walkies I provide professional dog walking services in South Shields and surrounding areas such as Whitburn, Boldon and Cleadon. My dogs Pip and Jess, Patterdale Terriers, give me hours of endless fun and love long walks. In 2016, after many years working in public sector management and customer services I decided to take the plunge and realise my dream of setting

up a dog walking business to give other busy people, or people who are no longer able, the opportunity for their dog/s to be walked in a safe and trustworthy environment. Owning a dog is a big commitment but sometimes, due to holidays, illness, work commitments, hospitalisation or other unforeseen circumstances, it may become difficult to care for your dog during the daytime. When you get in touch with me I will arrange a free, no obligation consultation meeting with you and your dog/s, so I can get to know you and understand you and your dog’s requirements. I am registered with NarpsUK, the National Association of Pet Sitters & Dog Walkers http://narpsuk.co.uk/profile/helenanthony. I am Criminal Records checked, NarpsUk certified, I have Canine and Feline First Aid training and am fully insured. My van is fully equipped with large secure crates.

Two walks today. The first round Temple Park with Dougal, Luna, Bear and Jess. The wind wasn't too bad on the perimeter paths. Second walk was at Marsden Old Quarry and that was a different matter - I thought I might end up in the land of Oz! Hugo, Scout, Jasper and Bear didn't mind though!

Dear Customers, obviously tomorrow we are on a storm warning. I still intend to work provided that it is safe enough to do so, I have worked through storms before. I will be walking in places away from trees and with less risk of flying debris. If, however, it is unsafe to walk, and provided I am still safe to drive, I will provide pop-in services to ensure that the dogs get comfort breaks while you are at work. I'll have to risk assess things tomorrow, so it's a case of suck-it-and-see for now. I will keep those of you whose pets I am due to walk tomorrow fully informed as the day goes on.

Dougal the lovely Westie has been having regular walks with us for two weeks now. His owners were a bit apprehensive that he wouldn't like going for walks with other dogs, but he has been very sociable. He has made lots of friends and apparently gets nicely worn out from his walks.
