Unfortunately due to ill health that isn’t improving following the car accident in February I have had to make the decision to take a break from training all together. Hasn’t been an easy decision to make but for now it has to be the right one. I hope to return in the future!

We will be at north Wootton Village Hall Market this Saturday coming from 9-2pm with our selection of Natural Treats and goodies. All harnesses, leads and collars massively reduced to clear, also some 5m long lines that were previously used in classes. Hopefully see some familiar faces 🐶

As some of you will know I had a nasty accident in February, my van was hit by a lorry. Unfortunately I’m still having issues from the accident with my arm and shoulders and it’s caused a massive flare with the fibromyalgia. Various other things have made 2024 a rather rubbish year so far too!
At this time my health needs to come first, plus we go on holiday in less than two weeks, so until my return from holiday I will not be taking bookings for new clients. This is so I can prioritise the clients that I have on my books at the moment and see them when I am well enough.

Those close to me always joke that Kali is my favourite out of all the dogs (and kids!). My bond with Kali is especially strong I must admit.
Such a good girl at the Vets earlier this week- two behaviours we teach from young is a settle (on a mat) and a chin rest. Both so useful in many ways. She settled beautifully in the waiting area- only getting up when released for some fuss from her favourite receptionist! Then held a chin rest for me whilst the vet checked her heart, eyes, ears and teeth. He threw in a back stroke, tail lift and paw rub for good measures (to see if he could break the rest 🤣) then administered her vaccinations.
Well deserved treato at the end of course! Followed by a well deserved off lead run 🥰🐾🐶

We are back hosting the yearly fun dog show at Woottons Picnic on the Park! 8th June at 1pm- register from 10am- only 30 spaces per category or we never get round you all. 2022 saw over 100 different dogs enter! Rosettes for top three in each category plus rosettes for all junior entries. Shade and water all day for the dogs and some fun activities going on from 11am with us, as well as all the usual entertainment provided by the committee! We will have all@our treats for sale too on the day with lots of special offers. Love to see you all there!

Please (I say this so much!) DO NOT FEED THEM! they do not need us to provide them with food, they are capable of finding their own, just like other wild animals. There’s someone that leaves piles of veggies out for them near the pond on Reffley, same in Wootton and it’s causing damage to properties, people and our pets! In the comments, theirs an elderly lady knocked over in her own garden by one, countless dogs attacked, fences destroyed. They will attack unprovoked, especially if they have young near.

Thankyou to all my loyal customers that have hung around whislt I recover from pneumonia. Unfortunately the bad luck continues as my van was hit by an 8 wheeler tipper lorry on Friday morning, its most likely written off as the back end is a crumpled mess and I’m currently in agony and the hospital have said they can’t give me stronger painkillers tab I’m on and I’ve got to wait it out till the pain subsides! Fingers crossed the hire van turns up today ready for tomorrow’s appointments!
Next February I’m just going to hibernate I think 🤣🤣

Open today from 9-5pm. Our food stock will grow over the next few weeks and we are able to order in many different brands and bag sizes. The sheep bed has been hugely popular with 5 sold this week alone! The seriously strong orange dragon and crocodile, Tugg E nuff toys and snuffle mats are flying off the shelves too. We’ve had a really positive first week with the shop open and hope to see you all soon. Places for puppy classes are being taken with new rounds starting mid April, limited slots in improver classes are also available. Lastly with have some homemade dog treats, made by two local school girls raising money for a trip to Borneo to help with education facilities, and environmental and conservation projects. It’s the skill people find the hardest to master, but they want (and need!) the most. When I say you need to practice it from that very first step, indoors with no distractions this is why! Lots of eye contact being offered, ignored passing dogs and stayed by my side on a narrow path. Plus I have a bad back/shoulder so pulling is a major no go. Any dog can master it when the practice is put in 😊
A massive well done to Hugo and his owner Richard! Hugo had his first experience of being off lead yesterday and he did amazingly well 😊 Richard has never felt confident enough for Hugo to be off lead and when Hugo first came to us he was quite reactive to other dogs, he now copes so well in classes, is obedient and his recall and come on leaps and bounds. You should be proud of how far you have come 💙🐾🐾
Willow is 15 weeks now and only had her first proper walk this morning. Seven weeks of training at classes, in the house and garden and down our road. It paid off with a lovely lead walk! Don’t rush to get that pup out at 12 weeks, perfect practice leads to a happy walk for owner and pup!
