Yesterday I returned home from an amazing holiday in Tenerife with my family . ❤️
Jam packed with lots of adventures , including supporting my husband james representing GB at a rifle comp on the north of the island ( very proud to say that he is heading to the world shooting champs in may representing team GB ❤️) .
Some amazing memories made. 💖 & really treasuring our two beautiful girls ❤️.
If you read my previous post , the horses had a well deserved break too before the season starts.
I can certainly say I'm feeling super energised and raring to go! Think the horses are too after a few excitable antics today on the lunge 🤣.

Natalie treats the horses twice a month to keep them all on top form and it's making a huge difference to them.

⭐️Breaks- do you give your horses a holiday or give them a quieter time in another way?
➡️
We do , esp this time of year when the season is much quieter . Perfect opportunity to also give them ' down time ' which is super important! ( bit like us needing a holiday/ change of scene / routine etc )
For us it depends on the horse as to
' how ' we give them that all important down time.
For example ➡️
Vivi who turns 6 this year has just come in from a 3 week holiday living out with her friends and now will spend the next few weeks just hacking to ease her back into work .
She needed the chill time out with her mates for a physical & mental rest. We were so pleased with her development last year and she couldn't have done any more . She really has the most wonderful temperament.❤️ she will now go back to her normal routine of out at night and in during the day , so she still gets plenty of turn out.
➡️ Leo, he has a busy season ahead of him this year . Being an older and big horse we find that he benefits from a couple of days off & hacking ( he is now hacking for 2 weeks Mon- Friday) and this is a perfect opportunity to really work on his walk and bring everything down to a super relaxed couple of weeks mentally & physically.
Huge chunks of time off doesn't suit him at all.. not going to lie - he stiffens up . He is the sort of horse that the more he does - the more limber he is 🕺!
🔴All of our horses tend to only work Monday to Friday and have the weekends off to chill . They also have plenty of daily turn out all year round / some during the day & some during the night!
I find this works well for all of them, and includes lots of variety. Poles , hacking etc .
⭐️Please remember that each horse is an individual , just like us . What works for one , may not for another .. so don't be afraid to look outside the box to find a routine that works for your horse !

Thank you all so much for your messages about my judging upgrade 😘 it was a lovely surprise after a very stressful few weeks with baby scans etc!
I needed to jump on here and share this video with you. You all know I'm the crazy dog lady out of Beccy and I, and that George is 1 very spoilt pup 🤣
I have about 4 weeks left before I am about to pop...So.... Of course I HAD to buy the pet basket attachment to the pram we have got 😍 George needs his comfort too when we are out on walks.
I do need to explain, he does have an auto immune condition that affects his paws so walking can be very sore for him when he has a flare. Not that I needed any excuse to get it though. 🤣 he looks rather annoyed in the video but trust me, he will LOVE it once his blanket is in there too 🤣
One very spoilt dog!!

🌟Oh Leo ! What a super star you are . 🌟
Today I got to dust off my tail coat 💕.
Thrilled with Leo and had lots of fun! This was our first comp back since last October! I had some time away from competing due to having a baby girl in April this year.
Today he tackled his second PSG ( I stupidly thought it was his first for some reason and that we did an advanced last October but infact we did an PSG then 🙈 🤣 #babybrain ). He produced some lovely work.
Really looking forward to the gala evening on Saturday at weston lawns .
