Barney's Dog Boarding & Day Care Fully licenced and insured Dog Boarding and Day Care from our family home in Bitterne Park Southampton

Our dog boarding and day care business is run from our dog friendly home in Bitterne Park, Southampton. We live very near to Riverside Park which has lot of open space for dogs to run and play and there is good access to the river if they want to swim or just have a paddle. We have a fully fenced garden and plenty of space if your dog wants some quite time. All dogs are treated as family and will

receive lots of love and attention. We do our best to keep to their usual routine whilst you are at work or away on holiday and we take into account their usual sleeping place whether that be in a crate, in their own bed, on our sofa or upstairs with us. We have a 7-year-old Chocolate Labrador X Springer Spaniel called Barney that we rescued from a local dog rescue charity when he was 3 years old. Since then, we have made many friends with lovely dogs and we now go on lovely pack walks at weekends in woodlands in and around Southampton. Barney’s Dog Boarding was created out of our love for dogs and they seem to love us too. We were very often asked to look after dogs for friends and people that we met on our walks so we decided to turn our love of dogs into a business. We have also just started to foster dogs for a local dog charity in the hope that we can help them prepare for their forever homes. All dogs must be fully vaccinated and up to date with any flea/worm treatment.
*We cannot accept un-neutered males unless under 6 months old*

Barney had an amazing birthday with 11 of his friends on our Christmas gathering 🍷☕️🧁🥞 Thank you all for his lovely gifts which I'm sure he will enjoy once he sleeps off all that cake 🎂🎁🐾❤️🎄🎅☃️ It was an extremely muddy time but that just made it more fun apart from the clean up at the end 🤣💦

Phoebe enjoyed her Christmas day walk with Barney and Blue. Just a gentle easy walk today with a bit of sniffing and exploring. Finished up with some ball play on the green, whilst we sat and relaxed with a cofffee and a biscuit followed by some hot mulled wine 🍷☕️🍪🎄🥳🎅☃️🦌❄️❤️🐾

Barney is having a couple of days off before we start our Christmas boarding next week. I think he has felt a little jealous of all the dogs that get to sit on his daddy's lap, so he decided he wasn't going to be confined to the boot today. 🤣❤️🐾

Daisy and Betty came for their holidays had did so much between them during their stay, including a trip to the vets with Barney, a visit to the hospital with Steve, watched over us preparing dinner 😋🥕and working at my desk, waiting patiently for me in the bathroom 💩🤣, shopping at Pets at Home, The Range, Currys, Next and Star Bucks as well as lunch at the Garden centre and visits to nanny Ethel and Aunty Nic and not forgetting lots of fantastic woodland walks. They were both a pleasure to have stay in our home, we look forward to having them stay again in the New Year. 🐾❤️😊
