To all my dog loving friends

Just a little warning regarding the Christmas treat many stores are now starting to stock for dogs at Christmas. 😉 🐶🐈🐩🐕‍🦺🐕🦮

Many of these so called treats end up with the dog "enjoying" some time in a veterinary surgery over Christmas. The vast majority of these rawhide products and treats come from China.

The chews are made from cattle or horse hides and their journey starts with the hides being soaked in a toxic sodium sulfide to remove the hair and fat. More chemicals are used in order to split the hide into layers which is then washed with hydrogen peroxide to give the white "pure" look and remove the rancid smell.

Now comes the pretty festive colors and the glue to form cute shapes. On testing, these chews have shown traces of arsenic, mercury, chromium and formaldehyde.

If that wasn't bad enough, they regularly cause intestinal blockages, poisoning from chemical residue and choking.
The chews go slippery when wet and are near impossible to get hold of to save a choking dog.

Leave them in the shop where they belong or if some well meaning person buys them for your dog put them safely away for later, then dispatch in the bin! Please be safe with your dogs! ❤️❤️❤️

🌟💫⭐✨ Canine First Aid Certification Renewed ✨⭐💫🌟

It was an absolute pleasure to attend the pet first aid class hosted by Charlotte and Paige of yesterday down in Woolston! Canine First Aid certification should really be renewed every three years, and I had been attempting this online over the last few months, but it was difficult to find the time to watch so many videos, take in all the information and a struggle to remember things where there wasn't any physical interaction. I'm a visual person but I find it much easier to learn when I can actually have a go at things.

Thankfully no dogs were harmed during the making of this course 🤣 as Charlotte provided plenty of practice dummies to carry out CPR on, rescue breaths, pulse checks and we had the opportunity to practise bandaging. The class was so informative, very interesting and to top it off, Charlotte made it fun - she's a joy to listen to and never hesitates to answer your questions.

The day was made even more great as I sat with my fellow - and amazing - dog walkers Lucy from Dolly Dolittle pet services, Gem from and Lissy from - it was so lovely to see you ladies! 🥰

🐾🐶💕 Happy International Dog Day! 🐾🐶💕

Here's to my three babies: my treasured late dog Kobi, my dog with a beautiful soul Brodie, and my gorgeous, mischievous little Pom pup Soks 🥰❤️🐾

Hubs, Brodie, Soks and I have just returned from a last-minute getaway to Devon where we stayed at the fabulous, dog-friendly in Bampton. Such an accommodating place and they were so welcoming to the doggies - I highly recommend! 👌🏼

Me and the dogs have been having a blast on our walks over the past few weeks! We've enjoyed the beauty of Southampton's picturesque landscapes, strolling through open fields and enchanting woods. Our walks have been filled with fun adventures and unforgettable memories, providing the perfect opportunity for the dogs to stretch their legs and enjoy the great outdoors!
