Monday MEET & GREET time, and next up is Father Christmas 🎅🏼

Father Christmas has been spreading joy and cheer for centuries, delighting children and adults alike. When he is not at Longdown Activity Farm, he resides at the North Pole, where he oversees a bustling workshop filled with elves making toys for Christmas.

His main focus is ensuring every child’s wish is fulfilled, delivering gifts on Christmas Eve, and keeping the spirit of Christmas alive.

When he’s not busy preparing for the big night, Father Christmas enjoys indulging in mince pies and milk left out by excited children.

He loves reading letters from children around the world and cherishes the magical moments shared with the visitors at Longdown.

Father Christmas’ favourite animal is a reindeer.

Favourite drink - warm milk (but a large brandy at the end of Christmas Eve!)

Favourite food - mince pies

Favourite colour - Red

Favourite farm- Longdown Activity Farm

Favourite farmer - Farmer Bryan

You can find Father Christmas in our Christmas Barn TODAY! This is his last day before heading back to the North Pole!

Longdown Farm Facts:

Shetland ponies are a native breed of the Shetlands in Scotland, they grow up to 42 inches

Chesney our Shetland pony is extremely cheeky and can be very stubborn.

Shetland ponies normally live up to 35 years, they are extremely greedy creatures and very often become ill due to eating to much, Chesney is on a very strict diet otherwise he will become very lame. These ponies are very hardy and can withstand extremely cold temperatures without the need of any additional coats, it's vital that they have a shelter to protect them from the wind and rain.

Chesney will be given his favourite treat on Christmas Day - that's two Extra Strong mints.

Shetland ponies make an ideal first pony and normally bond with their young owner, they enjoy lots of cuddles.

Wishing everyone a Very Happy Christmas from all the team at Longdown Activity Farm
