Matted dogs
Matts develop when the fur tangles into a mass. If left these knots wrap together forming a tight matt against the skin.

Imagine wearing clothing two sizes too small, this is what a matted coat will feel like.

Restricting natural movement, causing infections, hematomas, cuts off circulation, pulling the skin especially around armpits and groin, plus urine and faeces within the matt.

Please don’t let your dogs coat get to this stage, seek advice about removing matts and maintaining the coat.
