🎉 A BIG Paw Care welcome back to our fabulous furry (and feline) friends: Penny, Beans, Lola, Holly, Indi, Luna, Jessie, Ralph, and Ricky!

This purr-fectly charming crew of 9 rescue kitties were pampered by our superstar sitter, Teri, over the past week. She’s been busy making sure Ralph and Ricky, the feral brothers, continue their journey of becoming total cuddle pros, building on all the incredible work their humans have done. 🐾

And we can’t forget to wag a big hello to Rosie and Oakley, the family’s two canine companions, who enjoyed Teri’s TLC for 4 festive nights over the Christmas period. 🎄🐶

It’s been a joy to care for this dynamic duo of cats and canines alike. We’re pretty sure Teri left with a few fur-covered souvenirs and enough pet love to last well into the New Year!

🎄✨ Christmas Cheer with the Nathan’s Paw Teams! ✨🎄

The other night, Nathan, Teri, Katie, and Kazzi ditched the mud and paw prints for a rare, glamorous evening of festive fun! In our glad rags (yes, even Teri had some eye makeup on! 😉), we enjoyed a lovely Christmas meal and drinks. We even exchanged Secret Santa gifts—no dog toys this time, though!

As we look back on 2024, we want to send a huge THANK YOU to all our wonderful clients and followers. Your support, custom, messages, cards, and thoughtful gifts mean the absolute world to us. Every like, comment, and share on our posts keeps us going, and we couldn’t do this without you.

Celebrating Community and Connection: A Christmas Gathering with Fellow Pet Professionals

Being self-employed often comes with its fair share of challenges, and one of the biggest is how isolating it can sometimes feel. That’s why moments like this—a Christmas meal surrounded by like-minded, passionate, and ethical pet professionals—feel so special.

Earlier today, I had the privilege of sitting down with an amazing group of local pet pros: dog walkers, trainers, groomers, mentors and behaviorists. These ladies are not just colleagues; they’re a true support network, a community of people who understand the highs and lows of what we do. It’s rare to find such a perfect mix of professionalism, shared values, and friendship, and I feel incredibly lucky to know them.

Of course, there were a few people we missed this time, but that’s the beauty of building a strong network—we know they’re always with us in spirit. There’s something magical about coming together, especially during the festive season, to laugh, share stories, and celebrate what connects us: our dedication to animals and the people who love them.

So here’s to all the self-employed pet professionals out there—never underestimate the power of community and connection. It’s what keeps us going when the days are long, and the work is hard. And if you haven’t yet found your “crew,” I promise they’re out there waiting for you.

🌟 Client Spotlight: Rory’s Journey with Separation Anxiety 🌟

I’m incredibly touched by this heartfelt feedback from Karen about the support I’ve been offering her and her dog, Rory, through their separation anxiety training journey.

Karen writes:
‘’Nathan has been helping me with separation anxiety training for one of my dogs. The support he gives is amazing, talks me up when I need to be reminded of the progress but also reminds me to take things steady if I’m getting too ahead of myself. He holds me to account in the kindest way! It’s a long journey for my pup and me and it isn’t going to change quickly but I couldn’t have done this without Nathan.

If you don’t have a dog with SA, you just don’t understand it in the same way. I can talk to Nathan when it’s getting me down and going wrong, and I know he has truly lived through the same things. I speak to him more frequently than [most of] my family! He’s so so super lovely.”

Separation anxiety can feel overwhelming, but it’s stories like these that remind me why I’m so passionate about what I do. Supporting clients to build confidence, resilience, and a deeper connection with their dogs is at the heart of my work.

We’re thrilled to welcome back Bob & Susan, our favourite house rabbit duo, for another round of our ‘bunny pop-in’ services! 🐇🐇 These two are an absolute delight, and we’re so grateful to their humans for trusting us once again to care for their beloved bunnies. 💖
