Meon Valley Alpacas

The mums and Crias gave me a lovely welcome home this evening.. after a great weekend of alpaca showing, socialising, eating, drinking and making happy memories at the Dorset County Show. Many thanks to all who made it happen, and many congratulations to all those who gained sashes and rosettes with your beautiful alpacas.
The weather gave us all a few challenges but nothing stopped the fun!!

So .. we have progress. Memento is gradually coming round to motherhood .. I’m still offering bottles and sometimes they’re rejected completely or just a little taken… Spirit has gained weight today so that’s good, he’s so brave, as I’ve seen her knock him over, kick him and spit at him but he doesn’t give up… 💙

What a difference a day makes .. Aurora’s nice and cosy in the stable tonight. Others all deciding to stay dry too … This time last night we had all the doors and windows open and I was watering the garden! At least I don’t have to do that!
