This event was definitely one of my faves….. partly because I am absolutely addicted to moving my body these days.

I have always had this need more than some other people but I have only really realised it since truly getting to know myself from the age of 32, after a breakdown made me take a long hard look at myself and my life.

Since then I am thankful to have had jobs that have involved moving my body a lot. And now my own business to keep me on my toes. Over the last year though, I have also started moving my body in more intentional ways and have found myself regularly in the gym which is something I thought I’d never say.

I am someone who needs to move a lot and also have a lot variation in my day to day life or I get restless, stale, bored and sad and my mind runs away with itself in ways that I don’t necessarily want it to.

As well as the gym, I go to yoga regularly and I have recently started dipping into boxing with the lovely , which has only made me feel more powerful!

Michaela’s LLB spotlight event didn’t disappoint. She’s a great instructor with fab energy. She’s friendly, approachable, encouraging and hilarious, plus she’s a badass super fit PT. I couldn’t rate her classes enough.

She also didn’t disappoint with gifts for her LLB friends. Protein balls to die for from plus loads of other cute goodies

Plus what awesome photos was able to shoot of us all looking like the beautiful and powerful women that we are!!

This big boy came in for a bath and tidy for the first time today. He’s a little sensitive so we took it slowly to start building trust. He’s lovely natured though and just looks so cuddly like a big teddy bear 🧸

Humphrey 🤎

I had to do a Humphrey a post after his first full groom. He’s been for 2 bath & tidies previously but this was his first full haircut.

I absolutely loved doing this groom. Humphrey has the most beautiful thick coat. It takes a long time to dry but with the right treatment it’s then the most beautiful texture to work with.

Humphrey is a ball of energy and always comes in to the salon with a crash bang wallop!! He actually sits so well for his groom though despise being a lively lad. He’s very affectionate or as his owner puts it, intense 😆 That’s fine by me. Lovely to have met you Humph!

Barkley came for his first groom at Marfa’s mutts today and despite being a bit nervous, he did amazingly well!

Barkley had a blueberry facial, shampoo and deshed, face folds and ear clean, paw balm massage and a spritz with some pumpkin latte cologne. What a good boy!!

Paulo came for his first full groom today. He was a little nervous but did very well! He went home smelling beautiful, after a skin and coat conditioning oil rub, with clean ears and trimmed nails to boot! Well done Paulo! 🤎

Welcome Tinks 🤎

Tinks came for her first ultrasound teeth clean today and despite wanting to chew the brush, we got great results from just one session 😃

Dogs do need to be receptive to the teeth cleaning process without sedation, for ultrasound to be possible. If sedation is necessary your dog will need to be referred to a vet. Tinks just managed to make this appointment a success! Well done Tinks! I’ll see you next week for your full groom ✂️

Welcome Rocky 🤎

GORGEOUS!! I have no other words. What a pleasure to meet this lovely boy today. Looking forward to seeing him again in December.

Rocky had a bath and blueberry facial. Then a clip off and a luxury skin and coat oil rub to keep that skin and coat conditioned and shiny ✨

He also had an ear clean which he enjoyed a lot! And some canker powder to help keep infections and ear mites away. This is particularly helpful for dogs like spaniels with longer floppy ears that can stay warm and damp underneath, after wet walks and swimming.

Rocky was such a good boy. Gold star! 🌟

And welcome back Florence

Kissie just needs a quick clip off and she’s good as gold. She’s not sure about being groomed so we’re building up trust. She’s a gentle soul and a pleasure to meet 😌

Florence was back for her second go at a handstrip. We got loads done this time and called it a day when she began to get too bored and agitated. Next time she’s back I’m hoping we can do the full works. She’s settling in to grooming very well so far for a pup. Well done Florence 🫶

Fenton 🤎

Fenton is my lovely neighbour’s dog. Fenton is not a fan of grooming. I can do everything for Fenton apart from his nails and paw pads. These bits make him too stressed out so I just do the other bits and his owner is happy for his feet to be left so that he isn’t too upset by the grooming process. He’s a lovely boy who loves attention and is always friendly…. As long as you…. “leave my feet alone!” 😆

Bernie 🤎Bernie is a bit nervous of grooming. Especially of the dryer and he hates having his head dried. His owner told me originally to not worry about drying his head as they just want him to be chilled and happy.
