Meet our Meerkat family! ☀️

These adorable creatures are not only cute but also have some incredible survival skills. Here's what makes Meerkats so unique:

• They live in groups called mobs or clans, working together to protect and find food.
• They thrive in desert environments, which is why they can be found throughout Botswana's Kalahari Desert, Namibia's Namib Desert and other arid areas in South Africa.
• Meerkats are insectivores, with a diet mainly of bugs, but they also eat small reptiles and plants.
• Their dark patches around the eyes help reduce sun glare, allowing them to spot predators even in bright daylight.
• Older siblings in the group often help care for the younger Meerkats, showing strong family bonds.

Have you spotted the Poisonous Dart Frogs at Sealife Adventure? 🐸

These tiny, vibrant amphibians are as fascinating as they are deadly. Have a look at 5 fun facts about these amazing creatures:

• They eat poisonous ants and insects which is what makes them poisonous.
• The males care for the eggs and carry the tadpoles to running water.
• They have over 170 different species of dart frogs.
• Illegal trading has pushed some species to the brink of extinction.
• A golden poison dart frog has enough poison to kill 20 people and is the most toxic species of dart frogs.

Urgent News ‼️

There are QR codes being put onto the signs next to pay machines which are not approved methods of payment. When you scan the barcode and pay it will take your card details. These were found and disposed of at the car park next to Sealife. These may be elsewhere so be careful as well as vigilant!
