�From 11th July to 3rd September, get ready to spot 31 large penguin sculptures (plus a huddle of adorable baby penguins!) popping up across Southend and Leigh-on-Sea for

Each penguin will be uniquely designed by talented artists and sponsored by local businesses—creating a brrrrrilliant public art trail full of colour, creativity, and community spirit! 🎨

We’re beyond excited to that our penguin is being brought to life by the amazing — keep your eyes peeled for ‘sneak beaks’ and the big reveal!

We’re so proud to be part of this fantastic cause, and we can’t wait for you all to meet the penguins! 🐧

We’d like to say a HUGE congratulations to Aled Cole for being promoted to Acting Team Leader! Here is what they had to say:

“Hiya, my name is Aled, I started at Stockvale in summer 2023 as a retail host in Sealife. When applying I was definitely hoping to end up in Sealife so that was great news to find out. Since then I have been trained in the talks department, becoming the most experienced talks host of the current team. I am very excited to move onto my next role as Acting Team Leader! I would like to thank all the Sealife leaders who always encouraged me to do my best in every role I was given. But I'd like to give a very special thanks to Trin and Jayden who both really inspired my passion for talks, where I spent most of my time as a host. Special thanks as well to Lacey and Georgia who both really encouraged me to go for this new role and gave me lots of help to prepare! I'd also like to shout out the displays team who always took time out of their busy schedules to help me on talks, especially making sure I had plenty of accurate information for all the animals. I wouldn't be the talks host I became without them!”

Happy World Aquatic Animal Day! 🐠

Today we are diving deep into the underwater world and celebrating all of the aquatic animals that make it so special!🦈

Did you know that oceans cover more than 70% of the Earth’s surface and are home to over 230,000 species of aquatic animals? These creatures help regulate the climate, produce oxygen and maintain the balance of our ecosystems! Whether it’s the coral reefs that support thousands of species or the sharks that keep the food chain in check, every single animal is essential to a thriving and healthy planet. 🌊

This World Aquatic Animal Day, let’s raise awareness about protecting these creatures and their habitats. Every action counts - from reducing plastic waste, to supporting sustainable fishing practices, we can all help safeguard the future of aquatic life. 🪸

☁️BINGO AND BLUEY ARE COMING TO VISIT ADVENTURE ISLAND!☁️

Join us on the 12th April to celebrate our first event of the 2025 season with a special visit from the beloved stars from the hit series Bluey!

Experience the magic as Bluey and her little sister Bingo join us at hourly intervals throughout the day from 12pm-4pm.

There’ll be plenty of photo opportunities so don’t forget your camera! 📸

Happy World Frog Day! 🐸

Today at Sealife Adventure we are celebrating our Poison Dart Frogs! These little guys may be small, but they sure know how to make a splash with their super bright, rainbow coloured skins!

Known for their vibrant and striking colours, these frogs are native to the tropical rainforests of Central and South America. The bright colours you see are a warning to predators, signalling that the frogs contain toxins - a defence mechanism to help them survive in the wild.

Frogs, including Poison Dart Frogs, are often seen as indicators of the health of an ecosystem. When frog populations decline, it is a signal that someone is wrong with the environment - whether it’s pollution, climate change or habitat loss.

A big congratulations to Lee for his promotion to acting team leader of the Sealife Adventure husbandry team! 🥳

Here are a few words from Lee:

“Hi! My name is Lee and I have recently been promoted to acting team leader of the Sealife Adventure husbandry team.

I joined Stockvale back in 2021 as a security guard where I worked at both Sealife and Adventure Island. Sealife quickly became my main location and I couldn't be more grateful for this.

After joining Sealife I knew I'd found the place I wanted to work and progress my career. After working in security, I’d been given the opportunity to cross train in the retail department where I worked my way up to Acting Team Leader. I have since been given the life changing opportunity to work in the husbandry department with all the incredible animals we have at Sealife. I very quickly knew this is what o wanted to do in life. Now I have worked with all species across our site I have been given another incredible opportunity to progress my career and step into a new leadership role in the husbandry team.

I’d like to thank the whole Sealife team from admissions to husbandry for all their support across my many years and many roles at the company. I look forward to the challenges the future brings.”
