HAMLET COURT ROAD CP SHOP OPENING
TIGSY is looking for a home...
CP have named me Tigsy after I was found as a stray. I am a tabby & white male, about 4 years old. I really would love to settle down in my own home with humans who can give me all the attention and love that I deserve 😻
If you would like to visit me please email our Homing Officer, Rita on [email protected] or call her on 01702 710 630 (leave a message and she will call you back).
I can’t wait to meet you and I had a few pictures taken of me so have a good look at them and you will see how handsome I am!
THANK YOU EVERYONE😻 LOVE TIGSY X
HOMING UPDATE - KOTEK, OUR 13 YEAR OLD MALE TABBY IN THE SLIDESHOW HAS BEEN RESERVED TODAY AND WILL BE GOING TO HIS NEW HOME VERY SOON. WELL DONE KOTEK

Golden Oldies
We have a selection of lovely mature cats (they won’t destroy your house!!!) who really need a loving, quiet, safe home where they can give you a lot of love back. Have a look at our slideshow of our older cats looking for a home. The music is aptly called “Homecoming”.
Carmen (15 years old black cat) has just been rehomed which is great news. We still have LILY (15 year old tabby) who was rehomed in the last couple of weeks but has returned through no fault of her own.
KOTEK (13 year old tabby male) enjoys curling up beside you on the sofa and has a very loud purrrr.
MRS WICKY (14 year old tortie & white) is friendly but can get a bit grumpy (can’t we all!!!) so needs a quiet indoor home.
Please email our Homing Officer, Rita on [email protected] or call her on 01702 710 630 (leave a message and she will call you back).
THANK YOU EVERYONE 😻
URGENT PLEA FOR FOSTER FAMILIES ☹️
Cats Protection Southend are looking for special people who could foster some of the cats and kittens that come into our care while we find them their new permanent forever homes.
Cats come into CP care mainly due to a change in their owner’s circumstances, their owner may have passed away or they have been found as a stray/homeless cat. We cannot take in cats unless we have places to keep them.
You don’t need to have cats of your own, just a love of cats and an understanding of their needs. If you do have cats you would need a spare room so that you could keep a foster cat apart from your own. Your cats should be vaccinated. We provide food and litter, and pay any vets fees (should it be required). It is preferable that you would have your own transport to be able to take the cat(s) to the vet if necessary, or within walking distance of a vet.
If you think that you could offer our kitties a home, please email our Homing Officer, Rita on [email protected] or call her on 01702 710 630 and she will be able to discuss with you everything you need to know.
THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE - OUR KITTIES NEED YOU 😻
Merry Christmas to all our supporters and thank you for a wonderful year!
Name the Cat
Fundraiser at Pets at Home Southend Victoria on Saturday 20th May and Sunday 21st May.
We will be selling cakes and flapjacks, playing Cat Bingo, and holding a soft toy tombola. We are also running our "Name our Mascot" competition with a £30 cash prize plus a beautiful white toy cat for the winning name which will be selected by the committee on 8th June.
The store will be selling scratch cards with lots of Pets at Home prizes up for grabs, and half the proceeds going to Southend CP, and the other half going to Support Adoption for Pets.
Customers can also bring unwanted good quality items into the store to go into a donation bin for our charity shop.
Volunteer slots still available for both dates. If you can spare an hour or two to help out at this event please contact Julie PZ on 07788 592150.
Darling - Cat of the week - Day 5
Darling LOVES to play, and has a huge range of toys, but her favourite is a grass reed which she will chase relentlessly!

Who is prepared to take on a challenge with these two special cats?
Petra is 5yrs old, a very striking Snowshoe type cat. Peony is her black and white companion and is 7 yrs old. As you can see, they love to play, but it has taken a lot of time and patience to earn their trust. Because of their nervous disposition they would need an indoor home with experienced cat owners, and no young children. They may be ok with 1 existing cat as they originally came from a multi cat household.
The challenge is to win their trust even more, which can then bring huge rewards!
Does anyone else's cat chase their tails when they are waiting for their dinner?
Our little lad Bertie does it and its very funny
We tried to catch him in action today
Sally needs a home
She is a gorgeous black and white semi longhaired puss cat and 6 years old
She is a friendly girl and loves a stroke and to play but can be a bit unpredictable and have a little hiss or nip every now and then. Come on experienced cat people, can offer Sally a home and give her a chance?
I rehomed one of a very similar character a few years ago and he rarely ever hisses or nips as he is settled and happy with us now. He is now the most affectionate of our bunch and we love that we are his slaves
She needs a home with no young children
If you want to come and meet Sally for yourselves call Rita on 01702 710630 or to ask any questions
Oh and you can change her name if you offer her a home
