⚠️Treating one pet in a multi-pet household won’t fix a flea problem⚠️
Check your pet for fleas by combing their fur with a fine-toothed flea comb over a white piece of paper towel, tissue or cotton wool.
The comb will catch fleas and their droppings. If you spot small black specks on the paper, add a drop of water to them. If these specks dissolve and create a reddish-brown stain (like a red halo), this may indicate the presence of fleas.

#BlindDogDay serves two purposes 🔽
1️⃣ A day to celebrate all blind dogs in the world and ways we can support them – as all dogs are good dogs.
2️⃣ Highlight that whether partially or fully blind, they can lead a fulfilling life with a great quality of life!
Owners support blind dogs by creating a safe space, not rearranging home furniture, and training methods such as using audio cues to help make navigation easier and giving them sound-based toys to make play easier for them.
This is only a slice of ways we can support blind dogs.
And the beautiful Loki is demonstrating both purposes perfectly 💖 Thank you to Tower Vets, Knaresborough
This litte guy spent the afternoon at our Formby branch today, saying goodbye to some unwanted visitors he'd picked up. Check the comments if you dare for a photo of the surprising number of ticks that our nurses removed for him. As you can see he's feeding up and will be released this evening.
Let’s all be honest right now… 😆🐶
Share a pic of your furry friend and let us know how they're doing today! 🐕📸
*Don’t worry non-dog people… your time to shine will come 👀
Just like us, cats need to stay hydrated during the summer months! 💧
Ensure your feline friend has access to clean, fresh water at all times. You can also try offering wet food or adding water to dry kibble to increase their water intake.
Let's keep our cool cats hydrated and healthy this summer! 💧 🐱

Exercising in temps over 20 degrees can be a risk to fit
healthy dogs, much lower for elderly, obese, flat-faced or large breed dogs 🐾 🐶
Stay safe and enjoy the glorious weather ☀️ 🥵
