Changing the headplate in an Albion Platinum adjustable saddle is straight forward for a proper saddler with some fairly standard workshop tools.

I am trying to build up a small stock of second hand headplates to alter your saddle without the faff and expense of having to send it away.

I've been unforgivably slow in posting this, but here is the beautiful Idaho in her Light Havana bridle. Made to measure in in .est1919 Old English Bridle Leather, and hand sewn with cream thread.

All hand sewn at 8 to the inch.

Here's a custom humane dressage girth.
I'm not sure why these are so hard to find. They make a lot of sense to me from a fitting perspective. With modern dressage saddles often having widely split girthing.

I really appreciate it when people send me photos of the things I made in use.

I made this double noseband bridle for them a while back, and here they are finishing on their dressage score their first time out at BE100. And looking very stylish doing it too!

Very pleased for them.

It's a double noseband bridle with a comfort monocrown headpiece made in Havana J White's bridle leather with brass West end buckles.

I'm going to place an order with Vergez-Blanchard.fr later this week. There's a €100 minimum spend, so if any of the saddlers and leather workers who follow me on here want any little bitsà and pieces let me know.

Blanchard make my favourite round knifes and round punches. Unfortunately the very best thing they make, the small flat sewing awl handles, are out of stock. So I'll probably be placing another order when they're back as well.

I've just been sent a couple of photos of an unusual job I did.
I was asked to make the hood retaining straps and a few other bits and pieces for restoration of this 1909 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost.
The length required and the specific colour meant that we ended up having a bridle back custom dyed by .est1919.

All turned out beautifully and I'm told the customer was pleased.

I found this advert from 1877 for the curriers who make my my favourite bridle leather in 2020. They're still working from the same buildings in West Yorkshire 150 years on.
