Masie, an adorable, bouncy, playful, rolly polly over girl, returned for her scheduled Spa today. Huge progress for her allowing us to clipper her all over and use the dryer on her whole body this time, and the hand dryer a little bit more on her ears. We are so proud of her progress. Grooming for dogs with Anxiety and Fear. Very chatty and talkative Poppy returned to TLC Grooming for her 6 weekly scheduled Spa day for acclimatisation to the grooming process and desensitizing to the drying process and using a clipper and scissors on/around her face. Her eyes now pop out and she can see so much better. She is getting much more used to the Grooming process in gentle sessions and each time has got more confident and happy. Mummy and Daddy stay to give her the love and support that she needs and agree to take her home not completely dried. She is still getting used to clippers and scissors around her face and can not tolerate the Blast Dryer, so today we introduced her to our doggie hair dryer, with is quieter and gentle. With this dryer, she allowed a few minutes of drying time on her body and chest, and a little blowing on her face, which is a step in the right direction for her. So Poppy went home groomed and conditioned to dry off in front of their warm fire. We look forward to seeing you all again in December. Love, Donna and Andy XX

"Princess" Midnight accompanied Rogue for his first ever shower. Midnight had a good brushing, tidy trim around her scar tissue to avoid any infections, and a hygiene area cleanse. Rogue was so well behaved as has never had a shower before and even allowed the dryer for a short period of time. He is doing so well every time he visits us. Love Donna XX

Wendy, a 14 year old, rescued Tibetan Mastiff who is in recovery from Cancer treatment, visited TLC Grooming for a much needed Spa treatment. She left feeling a lot better with bit more of spring in her step, with her tail now up in the air. XX At the same time tiny little Fred, the abandoned rescued blind dog attended for his Spa and pamper. Fred has now been with his Forever Home for almost a year, is a member of a pack of 5 other extremely large dogs, (he is the tiniest), but he honestly thinks he is massive Rottweiler! He is so happy in his little life that we could not get a photo of him staying still for a second, but got one of Wendy and Fred together at last. Definitely a little and large view. I so look forward to welcoming them back again. Love Donna XX

Hi TLC Grooming Families. Bath Towels "If" you have any old, worn bath towels that you are happy to throw out, please would you consider donating these to us at TLC Grooming. For every bath towel "gifted" to TLC Grooming we will give £1.00 to a Dog Charity. With the wet/winter months ahead, it is hard to wash, dry and re-use clean towels for your beloved dogs, and our current ones are becoming thread bear. If you are in the area, please feel free to leave in a bag on our doorstep, or by the back gate entrance to TLC with your name so that we may ensure we thank you for the gift. Anxious but loving Fred returned to TLC Grooming today for his regularly scheduled grooming to get him used to the process. Today's positive progress was that he allowed not only his body to be clipped, he allowed me to clipper his chest and under his neck for the first time. Result! Still my amazing scissors for his front legs and face and he simply can not tolerate any drying aparatus, however, he did allow me to dry him with the doggie hand dryer for a few minutes. Such a good boy and we are all so very proud of him and his ongoing progress. Love Donna XX

For all our Beloved Dogs safety this evening - Guy Fawkes Night. Please keep your beloved Pets safe and secure in your homes, just in case there is a random firework that goes astray! Our own Beloved Rudy Mental - Labrador, is safely tucked up in our home this evening. Rudy has a doggie door flap and is sitting with his body in the house and his head out the door, watching the fireworks and barking at the loud bangs with his tail wagging. We, as owners, chose, when he was a new-born, to sit on the back step with him in our arms and encouraged him to look at the lovely display and not be scared of the loud Bangs. This has worked well all the way through his 11 years, during Guy Fawkes and New Years Eve and has ensured he is not stressed by any of this. Be safe beloved Fur Babies. Love, Donna and Andy XX
