Update**
Fantastic news, the beautiful Luna has found her new forever home thanks to the work of LETBR.
The rescue works hard to find the right home for these beautiful babies.
Luna will be off to her new home very soon.
2 1/2 years young and still so naughty, well not exactly naughty just being a Boxer. 💖Luna, although she lives with another Boxer (male) she cannot tolarate other dogs even out on a walk she will bark and go silly crazy when she see's one. And God help any cat that catches her eye!!
Luna is terrible on her lead, and will pull your arm out of your socket, and very destructive if left on her own, she has to go in a crate, maximum of 4 hours. She goes balistic when someone knocks on your door and will jump all over anyone walking in. She gets so excited and wants all the fuss.
Luna has become very BOSSY with any other animal, she has to be top dog!! but she will cower down to a human (not that we want her to do this) but also the good thing with her is that she is food orintated, a brilliant training tool to use for her training. She is fed on Purnia Hypoallergenic dry food twice a day. She does have some allergies on her skin, but on her 16mg a day of Apoquel this is kept under control
Sadly it sounds like training was given up too soon with this beautiful girl, she is of course young enough to change. It will be a shock to her sysytem, but love, persiverence and paitience will go a long way in training her. All dogs with such active minds love to have a job, this girl needs a job, she needs to be active, far more than in the past.
She is a sociable girl, but does have this attitude towards other animals, but not to people, she loves us humans. She does travel very well in the car.
She was attacked by another dog when she was younger and it seems to have left a lasting effect on her. Distraction when out walking and seeing other dogs will help her so much, not turning around and walking the other way.
She is spayed, and had two seasons before this happened, and her booster should be brought up to date.
She sleeps in a dog house that the owners built under the stairs, a proper little room, not shut behind a closed door, she can see all the comings and goings and is happy in there at night time.
She is great with children, she thinks she is a child herself!! but because of her excited state she gets in when someone is at the door, I believe she should not be rehomed with small children.
If you feel you are the right people for Luna, then please do get in touch on 01406 490350, I will be waiting for your call.
Boxerly love
