Unfortunately, these two beautiful girls are still looking for their forever home.
We were given incorrect information when these girls first came to us, so here is an update on what we now know to be true.
They are mother and daughter, Ava is 4 years old, and the smaller of the two girls
Ellie is Ava's mum and is 9 years young.
Ava is slightly smaller than your average female boxer due to the fact she had lukemia as a pup, and all the treatment to save her stunted her growth.
Ava is the most loving little girl who loves everyone and everything.
Ellie is also a lovely lady, but unfortunately, she needs Ava to lean on, and she is very protective of her.
While they have been in kennels, we have been working on this, and Ellie is now allowing Ava to wander off to play with toys on her own.
They are fully vaccinated, but neither of them are spayed.
Ava will definitely need to be spayed once she is settled in her new home.
Anyone who is willing to take on these two girls will need to give them time to settle and adjust in their new home.
They would need to be the only pets in the home as well.
Although Ava loves anyone she meets, Ellie is getting older, so a home with older children would be better suited for her.
We would consider separating them, but it would need to be the right family for Ellie. Ideally, she would need a home where she was the centre of attention, with people who could be with her all the time and take her on long walks and then cuddle up with them afterwards
If you think you could offer these girls a home please message boxer rescue

Hello everyone, we are Mother & Daughter aged 8 and 3years young. We have always been together and would love to stay together, our names are (Mum) Ellie and (daughter) Mai.
Auntie Dawn will try her hardest to keep us together. We live mainly outside but spend lots of time in doors during the day, we have been slept outside forever and do have a nice warm kennel to go in at night.
Our owner is very poorly and can no longer take care of us, so we do need someone who is kind and loving and that will give us the time to settle in. We don’t need to sleep in a kennel, it’s just something what our owner has always done. We would love to sleep inside in a super bed all tucked up indoors.
We will have had all our vaccinations brought up to date, but neither of us is spayed, they have only just finished their seasons, so you do have to wait for the right time to spay them, so their hormones have settled.
Although both are very good around children, Ellie can get a bit bouncy around young kiddies and could send then flying not meaning too!! But Little Mai is great around them, she loves children.
Mai is a lot smaller than her Mum or any 3 year old really, apparently Mai developed Meningitis as a puppy and this stunted her growth (so I am told) She has a chunky body, but just isn’t very tall. She is in excellent health, as is Ellie.
Miss Ellie, she is a beautiful girl, in fact they both are. They would love to stay together as they have not known life for the past 3 years without each other.
They both have One Meal a day but biscuits are down all the time for them.
Ellie will jump up people to say her hello’s, but little Mai doesn’t, she gets excited but will not jump up you.
Ellie is quite good on her lead, but Mai has never worn one, they live near open fields and have free runs. Ellie has a good re-call, but dear Mai has never been trained on a lead, so she is not good using one.
They are both sociable girls, and do love meeting new people.
If you can offer them a stay together new home that would be amazing, I have told their previous owners that I will try my hardest to keep them together.
Are you the people that can offer the girls what they would want? Please message boxer rescue if you would like to know more about these girls
The same conditions of adoption apply – home checks- knowledge of the breed etc.
Boxerly Love
Ellie & Mai

A message from Dawn who runs the rescue.

Hello Folks,
I just want to tell you all that there will be some changes going on in our rescue.
You are all aware that we no longer cover the Trent area, and this has not affected us at all, and nor will the other bit of news I’m going to be telling you about.
The Committee of Tyne Wear & Tees Boxer Club wrote to us telling us they no longer want us to be their Rescue, due to us not being a registered organisation, which we have never been. I’ve never had anyone from TWT’s committee even ask after any of the dogs in our care and yet now they question about being registered!!
Everyone knows we are a Non-Profit Making Organisation, and every penny that comes into the rescue is spent on the dogs. Sadly, everything has gone up in price and with us the most expensive of all is the vet fees and kennel fees. I have only ever asked everyone to help when funds have got low, but as soon as we had enough, I would stop the request. I personally have never asked any of the Boxer Clubs for financial help.
From now on we are being called Lincolnshire & Essex Boxer Rescue, and we are staying that way, as we were for years before hand, and run as smoothly as ever.
All the paperwork and bank details will have to be changed, and it’s the bank details that take the time, we can still use it with the old wording on until they change it. I will tell you when it is done. The paperwork being changed in the background will also take a little while, but we will get there. I will most probably be asking people to help with changing our paperwork, it’s called delegating 😊If anyone is interested.
I will be asking Jac Hurst to be changing our pages headers, so please bear with us while all the alterations are being done.
Thank you all for your continued support and help, as always, you are all amazing families, and I am always here to help you.
This doesn't stop me taking in the babes and re-homing from anywhere, it's just the name change ..... ridiculous isn't it!!!
With love
Dawn

This is Peggy She is beautiful and only 2 years 2 months old. She has the most gorgeous temperament. She has come into rescue as her previous owner realised that they couldn't give her all that she needs.

She is a live wire, and pulls on her lead (I doubt she’s been taken out for walks) but she does love all dogs and humans alike. She is toilet trained but likes to dig holes in the garden (out of borden) she really is the sweetest little girl and so friendly. She is not spayed, but vaccinations are up to date.
You need to be strong to walk her, and give her lots of stimulation.

If you are genuine in wanting to adopt then please call Dawn on 01406 490350 for a chat. Ideally she will need someone to be at home with her as well. Once she has been spayed & trained you will have a beautiful bob tailed Boxer in your life. She really is gorgeous ❤️ ### We are based in South Lincolnshire.

These 2 beautiful babes are still looking for their forever home.
They are the happiest pair you could ever wish to meet but they must have a home together . They are father and daughter and have always been together.
They have spent too long in kennels, and we desperately want to get them their forever home.
Please get in contact if you think you could offer these 2 babes just that.xx

01406 490350 and ask to speak to Dawn. She would love to hear from you.xx

Sadly we need a new stay together loving home through no fault of our own.
Ava is Teddy's daughter, so they have always been together, she is 7 years young and is the one with the black mask. Teddy is 9 years young and he is the flashy brindle. Miss Ava is not spayed but nor has she had any puppies, Ava has had two seasons a year, but she does need spaying. Master Teddy is castrated. Both of them are out of date on their vaccinations.
Both these gorgoues babes have lived with children, when Ava was born there was a child of ten around all the time. Ava is more bouncy and jumpy around children.
Ava barks a lot around other dogs, she's never had a fight with any dog and eventually stops barking, so it does depend how the dog reacts to her. Teddy is fine around other dogs, Teddy has a good re-call but Ava needs more training in this department. Both the babes will pull on their leads to begin with, just out of excitement of going out, just like any other Boxer's.
Both will bark when the doorbell goes, and Ava is the one that jumps up people to say hello, where Teddy stands back and watches, once Ava has done her greeting so will Teddy.
They are both crated at bedtime, and if you have to go out or go to work, they have been crated for work for 8 hours.
They are fed on Harringtons wheat & gluton free Lamb, they have this dry twice a day.
They are in need of a new home due to the fact the people are moving and just cannot take them, finances also comes into this. They do look sad in all these photos, so lets change their lives and find them the perfect loving home where they will never be left for so long on their own.
If you need any other information then please call Auntie Dawn on 01406 490350, she, and them will be waiting for your call. ###x

Beautiful Luna
Another fantastic rehoming happened today.
Beautiful Luna needed a very special home. A home where she would be the only animal in the house. A home where she could have a family that could teach her the manners that she is lacking and shower her with the love she so desperately needs.
Today, her new mum and dad came to collect her and give her just that.
Enjoy your new forever home, beautiful Luna.
Thank you to everyone who enquired about giving her a home.

Betty update.
You will all probably remember our post about our little miss Betty, who was looking for a very special home.
A home where someone who would be about all the time, a home where she could continue her training and grow into a confident, well-rounded young lady.
Well today miss Betty went off to her new home.
We want to wish her and her new family all the best for the future. Lots of fun times ahead and lots of love to be shared.
Thank you to everyone for all your enquiries about this beautiful little girl.

Update**
Fantastic news, the beautiful Luna has found her new forever home thanks to the work of LETBR.
The rescue works hard to find the right home for these beautiful babies.
Luna will be off to her new home very soon.

2 1/2 years young and still so naughty, well not exactly naughty just being a Boxer. 💖Luna, although she lives with another Boxer (male) she cannot tolarate other dogs even out on a walk she will bark and go silly crazy when she see's one. And God help any cat that catches her eye!!
Luna is terrible on her lead, and will pull your arm out of your socket, and very destructive if left on her own, she has to go in a crate, maximum of 4 hours. She goes balistic when someone knocks on your door and will jump all over anyone walking in. She gets so excited and wants all the fuss.
Luna has become very BOSSY with any other animal, she has to be top dog!! but she will cower down to a human (not that we want her to do this) but also the good thing with her is that she is food orintated, a brilliant training tool to use for her training. She is fed on Purnia Hypoallergenic dry food twice a day. She does have some allergies on her skin, but on her 16mg a day of Apoquel this is kept under control
Sadly it sounds like training was given up too soon with this beautiful girl, she is of course young enough to change. It will be a shock to her sysytem, but love, persiverence and paitience will go a long way in training her. All dogs with such active minds love to have a job, this girl needs a job, she needs to be active, far more than in the past.
She is a sociable girl, but does have this attitude towards other animals, but not to people, she loves us humans. She does travel very well in the car.
She was attacked by another dog when she was younger and it seems to have left a lasting effect on her. Distraction when out walking and seeing other dogs will help her so much, not turning around and walking the other way.
She is spayed, and had two seasons before this happened, and her booster should be brought up to date.
She sleeps in a dog house that the owners built under the stairs, a proper little room, not shut behind a closed door, she can see all the comings and goings and is happy in there at night time.
She is great with children, she thinks she is a child herself!! but because of her excited state she gets in when someone is at the door, I believe she should not be rehomed with small children.
If you feel you are the right people for Luna, then please do get in touch on 01406 490350, I will be waiting for your call.
Boxerly love
Dawn ###x
