Hopefully this will be the next stage for us. We plan on increasing our capacity very soon to meet demand and then will be introducing production too.

In just a few months we have already outgrown our current space and are now seeking a much larger premises. As soon as we find something suitable we will be relocating and producing more food for in our wish us luck.

We aim to grow plenty and show others that food production can be by combining ideas and modern with a little and good intention

The positives far outweigh the negatives of being a MicroGreens producer.

For example here with our today we have some & healthy additions to our meals always on hand!

Makes me a happy Dad seeing our young kids eating grown by me. Now that’s also compliments to Jenna for making this yummy brunch for us all earlier 🍽🌱💚

When you just finished cleaning and sanitising a load of trays and the weather starts to change. Mad dash to get them all inside before the rain and wind ruined all of our hard work.. 🌬🌧

Pretty much love everything about growing Microgreens aside from tray day. Tray day I loathe and need to get a better system in place. If anyone has any suggestions they would be warmly welcomed 🌱💚

All now sold out and only two boxes of left. We still have a few of our available as we grew far too much again this time.

Made up a huge batch of our Radish Mix and straight out the door for delivery today. Unlike our Spicy Salad Mix this only consists of Rambo & Daikon Radish. It packs a mighty punch 🥵 🥊

Putting together a large batch of our fresh, crunchy and sweet tasting new Micro Salad Mix 🌱

Don’t worry this doesn’t pack the intense flavour of our Spicy Mix. It’s mild and sweet and makes a great accompaniment to sandwiches, wraps, salads or garnish. MicroGreens we are currently growing to order:

• Pea Shoots
• Red Amaranth
• Red Cabbage
• Micro Kale
• Micro Broccoli
• Micro Lemon Basil
• Micro Coriander
• Micro Radish (Daikon, Rambo & China Rose)

More varieties constantly being added and can order in seed from suppliers depending on quantity required. Prices range from £2 to £5 depending on variety.

Pea Shoots £2 per pack. Most other common varieties such as Radish, Broccoli, Kale £3.50 per container. Some varieties due to the cost of seed, longer grow times and labour such as Micro Lemon Basil, Micro Coriander & Red Amaranth are slightly more expensive at £5 per container.

All grown at our St Andrews MicroFarm naturally, chemical free, pesticide free, with no artificial nutrients, just water & light. Delivered ultra fresh within 24hrs of harvesting and packaged in environmentally friendly plant based compostable VegWare packaging.

So we decided to start adding in some more vibrant varieties to our range of MicroGreens.
& are two of the varieties we are now beginning to trial. Ignore the size of the makeshift grow containers here these are literally the very first ever two test grows in our farm. I like to be frugal and Amaranth can be more challenging to grow so I opted for very small containers as it will be less seed wasted. So far so good they have just come out of germination and are now enjoying some time under the grow lights.

Tomorrow I will be sowing full size trays of both and in just a matter of weeks these two new varieties will be available to the local community in and around 🌱

Our new business cards and labels are ready. We were due to be up and running in late Feb but sadly this situation had other plans and caused a slight delay with the final things before we could fire up production at our St. Andrews MicroFarm.

We are now ready to begin sending our amazing fresh MicroGreens out to the local community. As an essential farming business supplying fresh food we will of course be doing this in a way that respects social distancing and protects everyone to help our NHS.

We will begin taking new orders in just over a week. If you or anyone you know around the St Andrews area would like some freshly harvested Micros to snack on, add to salads, meals sandwiches or wraps for a super healthy and nutritious boost of flavour to your day then please feel free to drop us a message.

We will be somewhat limited on varieties for the time being as some of our seed suppliers are unable to meet demand for now. We also are unable to scale up our MicroFarm to a larger capacity at this time due to horticultural lighting and other needed equipment being harder to source at present. That said, we have managed to buy a large quantity of some seed. We have also restocked on our favourite plant based, compostable and environmentally friendly plastic packaging from Vegware. So for now we will endeavour to fulfil as many orders as we possibly can.
