⏳🐾 JANUARY OPENING HOURS 🐾⏳

St. Ives gets a little quiet at the start of each year, so we’ve slightly changed our opening hours this month:
- We’ll be open 10:30am til 4:30pm on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays
- We’ll be closed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Sundays

Even though it’s quiet, the treats are ALWAYS ready for the pooches that pop their heads in 🐶❤️

🎄🐶 MERRY CHRISTMAS! 🐶🎄

We’re so overwhelmed with the reaction that the new shop has received - thank you to all of our customers, old and new, for the amazing support you have given us this year! 🐾❤️

In true Ruff Life fashion, we went down to the local beach with our own Rufus (our logo!) this morning and had a proper Cornish runaround 🏝️🐶

Time to say goodbye to our lovely Market Place shop! Thank you to all those who have sniffed us out whilst we’ve been here ❤️

We’re only open for two more days, so we’ve reduced a few things, such as fish skins as well as pig, venison, and rabbit ears (you can probably understand why we don’t want to take all these home with us 👃💨)!

We’ll still be active on here whilst we get the new shop ready for you and your mutts - but for now, stay sandy! 🌊🐾

❗️BIG NEWS – WE’RE MOVING!❗️

From December (we’ll let you know the date), you’ll find us at No.1 Tregenna Hill (just round the corner and up towards the train station) – we’ll need some time to get this ready for you and your mutts, so will be closing our lovely Market Place shop permanently from November 2nd 🐾

We have SO much to share with you over the coming months and are so excited to show you what we have planned! For now, we’ll see you in Market Place until November for all your poochy needs 🐕♥️

Hot Hot Hot! We have you covered with Scoffs’ non dairy iced treat! 🥵🐾

Advice for the pooches today:
- Take the hooman out for a walk very early or later in the evening
- Keep the hoomans (and yourselves) in the shade during the hottest part of the day
- Watch the hot sand and burning pavements on your little toe beans!
- Keep away from those sunny sand dunes, the adders may be busy basking in the sun!
- Get the hooman to keep you hydrated. Get them to wet a towel with cold water and lay it over your back as a cooling treat!
- Within the doggy beach times take a refreshing dip (we love to do this)! 🌊❤️

We have spent hours and days looking for the right products for Ruff life over the last few years to create our OWN style and it is so SO hard to find grooming brushes, combs, clippers ect that conform to our ethos of NO or recycled plastic in the pooch market.

We are very proud to say that we have, at times, refused to order lots of plastic items that would have given us profit over priority. We just didn’t do it !!
From poo bags to healthy treats to toys it’s all been carefully chosen to offer the best product for you pooches and also for the planet your paws walk on!

It is becoming much easier to source planet friendly pooch gear these days which is fab and such a relief to see. Sadly in the pet industry this is not yet normal practice! 😠

We currently stock an amazing selection of robust bamboo brushes, combs and clippers which are chic, comfortable to hold and include slickers, flea and pin brushes !
Summer Tips⬇️ on a hot Wednesday!

We all know having a full on beach blast, digging holes & riding the surf is the best thing right?

But things may get a little itchy later in the day 🥺

Here’s Ruff Life’s top tips for the beach:-

1. If it’s hot don’t spend too long on the beach🥵Pooches, you can overheat just like the hoomans and can also suffer with sunburn and let’s not forget the hot sand on your paws! Ugh! 😣

1A. Find a shady spot, have a supply of fresh water and try not to drink to much of the ocean!

2. Pooches, you should always have a thorough rinse after a trip to the beach in order to remove any sand or salt from your coat and don’t forget to wash your collar or harness as this will also be salty and sandy.🚿

3. Avoid big waves and strong currents! 🌊

Get your hooman to check the tide times and the weather forecast. Always make sure it is safe first.
Paddling in calm shallows or rock pools is a far safer and fun beach activity.⛱️

4. Used carefully salt water bathing can relieve your itchy skin from allergies and can even counteract parasites such as fleas🪳but as previously said have a rinse after.

5.If you have to p**p on the beach 🤭get the hooman to pick it up! 😆

6. Choose a dog friendly beach.

7. HAVE FUN 🏝️🏖️⛱️☀️🌊
