To all my lovely clients. I thought I’d put up a post as I have lots of new puppy owners who might not of thought of the up and coming Bonfire night which can be really frightening for some pets. In preparation for the days before and after here’s some handy tips-
In the evening when your pet is relaxed and sitting with you start to play, on the tv, phone etc.. big bangs and fireworks going off ( can be found on any website) and reward with treats and praise so they get gradually introduced to these sounds before the event.
Introduce a happy hoody to drown out the sound ( I use these in the groom room so hopefully they will be used to wearing them.)
Make sure they have a comfortable hiding space they can go where they feel safe and covered ( could be their bed, crate, your bed/under.
Keep your pets inside with curtains closed and tv on loud to drown out noise.
Hopefully your pups, if introduced early and in a positive way won’t be affected by this. Hope this helps 🔥 🎇 🐕🐾

These 2 beautiful babes are still looking for their forever home.
They are the happiest pair you could ever wish to meet but they must have a home together . They are father and daughter and have always been together.
They have spent too long in kennels, and we desperately want to get them their forever home.

This is Buddy, he’s 3 years old and looking for a new home through no fault of his own 😞 He’s a lovely boy. If any of my clients/friends know of anyone who would give buddy a forever home please message 🤞
Edit- Buddy is not neutered so new owners might want to consider this
Update- Buddy is staying with his owner for the time being ☺️

🌟Forever Home Needed🌟

This young man needs to find a new home due to no fault of his own, his owner sadly is having to go into a care home. He is a 4 year old, intact male, Shetland Sheepdog.

He's a people friendly boy, due to restart his vaccinations and is going for a groom on Wednesday. He's had a vet check and they didn't report any medical concerns. Happy to be handled, picked up etc.

Needs to be an only dog, no cats or kids as untested. Can walk past dogs at a distance but reactive if they get too close so will need work on this.

Please share for me and any Interest please message and I'll put you in touch with the dog trainer helping the family to rehome him. ❤️🐾
