Reposting….

Unfortunately due to health and safety we will have to shut the Foodbank services for a few more weeks. This has not been an easy decision to make!

On reflection it has given us time to move in and organise things properly in our amazing new building. We still have a lot to do…and it’s a very big space!!!
We are extremely lucky to avail of it, even though we have encountered lots of problems. Slow but surely they are being fixed.
Big Thanks to all those who have continued to be involved…we are so grateful to each and everyone of you!!

Please bear with us while we finish sorting this situation out…and look forward to operating again as soon as we can .. 🩷🩵❤️💙🧡💜

Not every cat comes to us from an unhappy home. In fact, Norman couldn't have been more loved. ❤ Cared for like a prince, photos of him adorned the walls of his home.

So when his owner passed away, Norman was completely lost. Finding himself in our care, we got him back on his paws and it wasn't long before he was ready to be cherished once again! 🐾

Does your furry friend go nuts for peanut butter? 🐶🥜

Many dog owners give their dogs peanut butter from time to time (all in moderation, of course 😋). Not only is it a great source of protein for your dog, but because they love the taste of it, it can be used to keep them occupied while you sneakily try and do the things they aren’t so keen on - like trimming their nails, giving them a bath or hiding medication 🐾

But, it’s super important to remember to ALWAYS check the label! ⚠️ If you spot Xylitol or Birch sugar listed in the ingredients, you MUST avoid it! This is a sweetener that’s found in some types of peanut butter which is extremely toxic to dogs, and even small amounts can be fatal ❗ To be safe, buy peanut butter specially made for dogs!

Food banks are being stretched to their limit this winter.

Can you help your local food bank be there for people in your community? 💚

Donating food at supermarket collection points or directly to your local food bank will make a real difference.
