STILL MISSING - 08/12/2023 Aslacton, Norfolk, Uk

I struggle more and more to find the words to describe the immense pain I feel after losing Ada in the most cruel way.

To leave her in the care of someone else and then to never see her again.

Moving to Norfolk was a big change for the both of us. I was excited and looking forward to our new future as a family. Sadly, it did not work out the way I had hoped and that is a fact I have to somehow carry on living with, without my sweet girl.

Ada was more than just a dog to me, she was my best friend, my baby girl, and my constant companion. She loved me like nothing else ever had and gave me the confidence I had never felt before. Her presence gave me so much joy and happiness, and her absence has almost destroyed me.

Team Ada, and her family will never ever give up the hope of seeing her again. We have no reason to believe she is dead or stolen after being seen several times up until 5 weeks later. The weather was awful and she has proven she can navigate the roads and trainlines.

Thank you so much to everyone who follows this journey and who is willing her home to me, from the bottom of my heart I am so grateful to you all.

Fingers crossed that we finally get some summer weather and that we get the breakthrough sighting of Ada needed to get her home.

In the meantime, please please keep sharing 🩷🙏🏻

Thank you ✨

P.s
May have come back to Midlands as family moved from there to Norfolk

Got this from a friend
In case it helps someone else:
You all know of our awful struggles with my dog during the firework season. He was fine for the first three years of his life until we were walking before dark a week before Halloween and a close neighbour let off fireworks. Since then he has been terrified. He shakes, pants, prowls, climbs, knocks into things for hours - even after just a random firework. We have tried so many things to help the situation.
Last night we had a breakthrough. After yet another discussion (and after trying quite a few medications) our vet said to try Pexion. We started it 2 days ago as recommended. Last night there were lots of fireworks (no idea why for Halloween) and he listened carefully but showed no reaction at all. What a great result for him! He slept the whole night and seemed his normal self- not zonked or sleepy.
We are daring to hope November might be bearable this year. Maybe worth trying for others.

When you get your 8 week old puppies, please keep these images in mind. Their bones do not even touch yet. They plod around so cutely with big floppy paws and wobbly movement because their joints are entirely made up of muscle, tendons, ligaments with skin covering. Nothing is fitting tightly together or has a true socket yet.

When you run them excessively or don't restrict their exercise to stop them from overdoing it during this period you don't give them a chance to grow properly. Every big jump or excited bouncing run causes impacts between the bones. In reasonable amounts this is not problematic and is the normal wear and tear that every animal will engage in.

When you're letting your puppy jump up and down off the lounge or bed, take them for long walks/hikes, you are damaging that forming joint. When you let the puppy scramble on tile with no traction you are damaging the joint.

You only get the chance to grow them once. A well built body is something that comes from excellent breeding and a great upbringing-BOTH, not just one.

Once grown you will have the rest of their life to spend playing and engaging in higher impact exercise. So keep it calm while they're still little baby puppies and give the gift that can only be given once.
