Haven’t kept up to date with our posts very well this month! But here’s a few things we have been up to during the autumn- from bunny walking, dog walking and imagination games we have made the most of the fading light! Shorter sessions from now on but hopefully with just as much fun!

Haven’t posted for a bit but we have still been running and working hard! Last night we managed to clean the bunnies, muck out the stables and clean out the chickens, all before the beautiful Autumn sunset! 🌅

Boris decided to venture out and join the Forest Footsteps Creation Station this week! He inspected out charcoal tie dye from last week (and was very impressed) and gave some good tips on what to do next! As ever the mud kitchen was also in full swing! Making the most of the evenings before the dark nights creep in!

Too windy for a fire……. So we used the left overs from the last fire to make charcoal paint (plus some paint we had as well) and did all sorts of amazing artwork, including tie dying! Can’t wait to see how it turned out! Meanwhile our youngest footstepper has made his first den- and was very proud too!!! 🪵 🎨 🌳

Well…….. we haven’t posted for a while but it’s not because we’ve not been busy! Take a look at this party! Everyone made the most of EVERYTHING! Stroking bunnies, holding baby chicks, mud pies, archery, marshmallow roasting, clay faces, leaf printing and I’m sure there’s more that I’ve forgotten! Thankyou everyone for reminding me what a fun place this is to be! All the hard work is definitely worth it 😊🐣🐰🌳🎂🎊🎈🎈🎈

There weren’t many people on Saturday but from the looks of all this beautiful artwork you’d never tell!!!! Gorgeous prints! (Including a mysterious foot print 🐾!) well@done everyone! And we just missed the rain!

Saturday kitchen has got nothing on us! We had a a lovely Saturday making dampers- everyone helped mix the dough and we roasted them over a fire before rolling them in jam 🤤 they were yummy!
We even had time to make a couple of clay monsters!

It was a really chilled weekend yet again, spent with some really chilled mini people! I think the rabbits were a bit concerned when Lady Penelope set up camp in their enclosure though! She soon got bored of leaves and dandelions, I think she thought they had a much more exciting cuisine to offer!

Hmmmmm 🤔 between two hen eggs, two goose eggs and two bantam eggs I reckon on average we have 6 eggs here? I think the goose eggs balance out the bantam eggs? 🤔😂 🐔🥚🥚

What a funny evening. Not sure tha nettle soup was a massive hit- good job there were roasted marshmallows after it to take away the taste!

Lots of interesting bugs and crawlers around today to keep us busy!
At the same time we had an experiment going on using three different types of wool to see if wool is, in fact, a fire retardant 🤔
Alpaca wool seems to become similar to candy floss when put into flames, our white sheep wool became tiny, while our Hebridean wool shrunk into a sticky ball, possibly due to all the lanolin in sheep wool as opposed to there being none in Alpaca fleece 🐑

This morning we had lots of different activities going on! From slug hunting to mud cake making (team effort) it was dance of the little people today!

Everyone found something to do and the time just flew! We even had a little four legged member of the group happily joining in! 🐶

Another funny walk behind the hens as they go in for the night! Some easily distracted and others with their eye only on the after party food but no hen left behind! Typical hen-do in fact! More new arrivals!! Meet Rosemary and her babies!!! They are one week amd four days old and we have two boys and a girl. Meet Richie! Our latest addition. He is a KuneKune pig (Maori for ‘fat and round’) and he arrived yesterday. He is already feeling at home, snuggling up with our Gloucester Old Spot, Monica.
