We are a family run Pick Your Own Farm, Shop and Cafe located at the side of the Trent and Mersey Canal in Great Haywood - a beautiful part of Staffordshire. We are committed to sourcing high quality, food and drink from farms and producers within a 30 mile radius of our home, whilst continuing to produce our own fruit, garden vegetables and bedding plants right here on the Farm. Open all year rou

nd, our Farm Shop offers a wide range of tasty products for all dietary needs; our Cafe serves home cooked seasonal meals from 'field to plate; our seasonal Plant Centre sells beautiful plants and hanging baskets lovingly nurtured in our own glass house; and we offer 'Pick Your Own' strawberries, raspberries and blackberries during summertime and pumpkins for Halloween! We have some lovely walks and cycle rides which start and finish on our farm, plus host a range of family events throughout the year from murder mystery suppers to creative nature based workshops.

We are very particular about who we stock our shelves with. We want to give the talented & fabulous, local artists and makers the limelight they deserve on our tables and shelves! If you are choosing to mark Burns Night with a traditional Scottish dish today why not head over to our Butchery counter for some ideas!

Haggis is traditionally served with 'Neeps & Tatties' for Burns Night-otherwise known as swede and mashed potato. Often alongside a delicious whiskey sauce.
However our Butchery Team have been coming up with some alternative haggis dishes that could be on our menu year round!

Here we have the 'BURNS NIGHT BRUNCH', haggis served up on freshly baked sourdough, with rocket and some tasty, runny poached eggs. Why not give this a go at home and see if it is something you would eat year round, because we think so!

We have an exciting opportunity for someone with Butchery experience to join the Butchery team within our award winning Farm Shop!

The Butchery Team is a vital part of our retail proposition, providing high quality, locally sourced meat and meal options to our Farm Shop customers, as well as supplying meat busy onsite Cafe and Delicatessen.
All of our Butchery Team are required to be friendly, knowledgeable and of course professional. At all times ensuring both strict food standards and high levels of customer service are met.

We offer a competitive salary, paid lunch breaks, staff discount which can be used in our Farm Shop & Cafe, pension scheme & a friendly environment to work in.

Both full time and part time hours are currently available.

🎨CHILDREN'S MAGICAL WOODLAND WATERCOLOUR WORKSHOP 🎨

WEDNESDAY 19TH FEBRUARY

Join us this February for another fabulous Children's workshop with Debbie from 'Look What Debbie Did'

Debbie will be back for a fun filled Children's workshop this half term. So if you are looking to get creative all whilst learning a new skill, this is the workshop for you!

Come and paint a magical, woodland with some of your favourite animals hidden amongst the trees. Make your artwork as unique as you are!

This workshop is perfect for age 5 and upwards...
All materials, tuition and a luxury hot chocolate included £15 per child.

There will be two sessions Wednesday 19th February 10am-12pm & 1pm-3pm. This workshop will be held in our glasshouse.

🧁 CHILDREN'S CUPCAKE & COOKIE DECORATING WORKSHOP 🧁

MONDAY 17TH FEBRUARY
10AM-11AM & 12PM-1PM

Join us for some fun this February in our Children's Cupcake and Cookie decorating workshop with local Baker Hannah from Forrester Cakes!

Bring your little budding bakers for a fun filled workshop decorating your very own cupcake and cookie. With tuition from talented, local baker Hannah. Everyone will have the chance to get creative decorating their own ready baked cupcake & cookie.

There will be time for a hot chocolate and story time once you have finished, with the Bakery themed story of Camilla the cupcake fairy!

Workshop is aimed at primary school aged chilldren. But all are welcome.

Two sessions are available 10am-11am and 12pm-1pm on Monday 17th February. This workshop will be held in our Glasshouse.

£15 per child. All materials and tuition provided, included is a cupcake and a cookie, as well as a luxury kid's hot chocolate to enjoy.

Our Story

We are a family run farm that has been growing its own produce for over 35 years. We bought a small holding in Great Haywood back in 1983 and planted our first strawberry plants that spring. Since then we have nurtured and supplied summer berries, autumn pumpkins, garden vegetables and plants directly to businesses across the region, and also to the local community through our own Farm Shop – one of Staffordshire’s first!

Over the last few years we have developed our ‘Pick Your Own’ experience, established a Seasonal Plant Centre and built a lovely relaxing Café (2014) overlooking the Trent and Mersey Canal. We have also rebuilt and extended our Farm Shop to include a butchery, bakery, delicatessen, gift section, award-winning wines and local beers. We were honoured to be awarded the national Small Farm Shop of the year in 2020, whilst our Cafe reached the final of the prestigious Farma Retail Association Awards.
