Introducing my Display Team! 🥳🥹
These guys have been specifically picked after all their hard work and fabulous obedience! 🥰
I'm hoping to do some displays next year with these guys! So keep us in mind if you have an event! 👀
The newest to join this group passed last night! We welcomed Brody into the top group! 💜
The hard work starts now guys! Eeeeee I'm sooo excited! 💜
If your dog can't recall from other dogs, people, wildlife, cats, poop sniffs etc or simply ignore you... do NOT let it off the lead. The lead I have here creates an off lead experience without being off lead. Once you are getting what's in the video continuously, then get them off lead and thriving!
If you're the person who shouts the dogs name 10 times and they still ignore you... keep it on the lead & train them!
If you're the person who has to shout 'Oh they are friendly!' As your dog bombs over to a dog or person... keep it on the lead & train them!
Things that ruin recall...
❌️Daycares or big off lead pack walkers (high volumes of dogs running and playing creates either: over socialised dogs or reactive dogs) these dogs blank owners and prefer running at other dogs as they are allowed to do this normally.
❌️ Over socialising.
❌️ Allowing too much freedom too soon.
❌️ Being a boring owner. (Walking round on your phone and not engaging with them etc)
❌️ Allowing them to run over to others (this tends to create a positive fun reward for your dogs and they will prefer that over coming back to you.
What you need to do!
✅️ TRAIN YOUR DOG!!!!!
✅️ Bond with your dog.
✅️ Allow them to earn the freedom and keeping it all a positive fun experience.
✅️ Engage with them.
✅️ Keep on long lines.
✅️ Create a friendly but neutral dog who will ignore dogs.
What people think dogs need is to run round like tw*ts all day with other dogs to be friendly and tired.
What dogs do need is to be around dogs, have friends that you know are nice and friendly. But not dogs they don't know.
DON'T LET YOUR DOG WITH NO RECALL OFF THE LEAD!!❌️❌️❌️
I should be posting graduation photos but the weather has caused me to cancel classes this week. 😭
So here is a video of my boys and their impulse control around meal times! (Excuse the decor we have only recently moved in!🤣)
When you have more than 1 dog minimising the chance of scraps and making life less stressful for you is key!
Bailey- 8 years old(Stubborn ass)🤣
Mr Bixby- 3 years old (Good boy)
Blitz- 13 weeks old (greedy 💩)
Yet everyone knows the rules and their place in the house, meaning a happy pack & a happy family! 😇
We actually learn this in the more advanced classes. 🥰
Saturdays started well✌🏼
Real life workshop in Stafford Town. Important for all dogs but very good for youngsters or those needing more exposure.✌🏼
These guys were a pleasure😍
Messages replied to Monday! 🥰
From a over stimulated, dog reactive Doberman---> calm, neutral Doberman!
This boy and his mum have worked amazingly hard since I last saw them in December! We left it a while between sessions so they had time to work through their set plan!
Yesterday we got this intact boy walking calmly, with full engagement on his mum! Not only that but with my intact male walking with, around and past him! With other dogs running up to the cage also!🤦🏼♀️
Behaviour isn't a quick fix! No harsh tools were used at all, unlike some places! Positive, obvious commands and desensitisation were used! I'm so proud of them both! ❤️
ALSO!
Anyone who have done BRONZE awards with KC can attend my Intermediate courses :) few spaces left for those who wish to join.💜
