💡January Courses💡

Our next set of courses are ready to be booked onto and start in January!

We have multiple group basic training options that are suitable for ALL dogs, no matter their age, training level or behaviour. That’s because as well as in person training we also offer online!

Our online course allows the feel of group courses, but you can attend the classes from the comfort of your own home and from anywhere in the UK!

Perks of in person classes:
✨building the basics around other people and dogs
✨controlled and safe practice around distractions
✨appropriate socialisation
✨In person trainer that can physically watch and help
✨Skills can be taught in different environments
✨Dogs/Puppies can watch others in a safe space

Perks of online classes:
✨Training is best taught initially at home with no distractions
✨Owners can focus without their dogs getting too distracted or at the end of the lead
✨Owners and dogs learn at different paces, therefore can do so without peer pressure
✨less time constraints
✨dogs feel safe and able to concentrate

This beautiful girl has recently joined our regular weekly dog walks and is an absolute delight! We’ve really enjoyed getting to know her and look forward to her walks each week🦮

💥Fun Fact: We now almost walk a golden retriever every day of the week, the only day missing is Mondays!🦮🥹

💡OUR PROGRESSION CLASSES ARE NOW LIVE💡

We are so excited to announce that are progression classes are now LIVE to book onto!

These classes have been a long time in the making!

✨They are exclusive on-going classes for dogs that have completed our Group Basic Training Courses or specific 1:1 training plans.

✨These classes are on-going training sessions to continue to develop and progress your dog’s training following the course in public and outdoor settings.

We focus on 2-3 exercises per class, you can pick and choose which class you’d like to attend. There are limited spaces per class so do not hesitate if you wish to attend!

✨1:1 Training✨

We had such a brilliant 1:1 session today with Jenny and her brilliant 4 month old, working cocker spaniel, Bob.

Bob and Jenny recently graduated from our group in-person basic training course, where they learnt the basics and set the foundations to their essential life training skills. They progressed further and further each week. Bob is extremely energetic and full of life and character, yet with the right techniques, patience and building trust and fun with training, he was able to excel through his group course training in a class full of other puppies.

🐶Today we had a 1:1 session to continue to build on Bob’s loose lead walking out in the big distracting world and before they join us with our progression classes.

Jenny’s commitment and patience with the very high energy and clever Bob is unmatched. The progression and bond already building between these two is wonderful to see and work with.

I cannot wait to have you both join us for our progression classes and continue to watch your relationship and training develop and grow! 🐶

As well as our in-person group course, we are now offering a 5-week online group basic training course!

🐶Our online group course will take place via video call so you can still get our full 5-week course full of essential basic training exercises to set you and your dog up for every day life from the comfort of your own home.

🐶This course is perfect for ALL dogs! Wherever you are in the UK, whether your dog struggles in new environments, around distractions or you just want to start your training off right, then this course is for you!

✨Our October Group Course Graduates✨

Our October Puppy Basic Training Group Course completed their final session last week and each puppy was super excited to receive their well earned graduation certificate.

Such an amazing group of puppies with wonderful owners that worked hard each and every week! We will certainly miss seeing these guys each week, but we cannot wait to see them join us in our progression classes soon!

We offer positive reinforcement training only, which is family friendly and allows you to not only understand your dogs, but also how they learn and to build lifetime bonds with them!

💥FIREWORKS💥

For some of us, it is a dreaded time of year with fireworks going off constantly and through the night! It seems to have turned into a firework season, rather than one night!

⚡️These loud bangs and flashing lights can be very distressing for our dogs and pets.

Here’s some little tips that can help support your pup during this time:
✨setting up a cosy safe place for your dog to relax in
✨lots of their favourite toys or treats (tasty kongs, licky mats or snuffle mats will also be great!)
✨curtains or blinds closed to avoid flashing lights that may spook them
✨TV or Radio turned on/ up to help drown out the bangs (classical music is great for soothing dogs)
✨avoid walks during firework times - do some research around when public displays in the area may be starting.
✨Do not force your dog out during the firework times (walk early before it gets dark/they start
✨If your dog chooses to hide, let them stay where they feel safe, and if they seek reassurance, give it to them.
✨try to remain calm and relaxed yourself, so your dog doesn’t pick up on you feeling anxious
✨avoid telling them off if they do have an accident as this may result in them being more scared
✨work on a settle before the fireworks go off and during if they cannot settle on their own (the kongs and treats can help here!)

Congratulations to the beautiful Cooper 🎓

Cooper’s owners came to us for 1:1 training help, as he was a young, large, boisterous rescue from over seas that certainly kept them on their toes!

Cooper went through our 8-week training plan that consisted of in person sessions, catch-up phone calls to monitor and adjust the training, as well as a write up of each session whilst going at Cooper’s and his families pace.

Both Cooper and his owners absolutely smashed it! There were certainly ups and downs as training is never straight forward and easy, but these guys remained consistent, patient and it was an absolute pleasure to work with them as they grew from strength to strength each week.

Not only do we help you with your training goals, but for you to really understand what you are training and the development of how your dog learns, to be able to not only continue your training, but to be able to understand and work through any difficulties you may face in the future. 🦮

We can’t wait to see Cooper’s continued development and for him to join our progression classes later down the line 🥹
