Sadly, and inexcusably, the government is looking to review their stance on animal testing for cosmetics in the UK - something that has been banned since 1998. It actually sickens me that this cruel practice could be brought back, especially for something as superficial as cosmetic products. For all you pet parents out there, sign this for your fur babies - other animals might sadly not be as lucky as yours 🐾💚

The Government must recognise the urgent need to use animal-free science and publish a clear and ambitious action plan with timetables and milestones to drive the phase-out of animal experiments. As well as preventing animal suffering, this will benefit public health and business.

Coming out of lockdown I have been inundated with new enquiries for dog-walking and pet-sitting, so I am now fully booked and unable to accept any further bookings from new clients until September 2021 🐾

Of course all existing regular & one-off bookings will still go ahead as planned, and I have a very small amount of free dates available that will be reserved for existing clients only (or who knows, maybe I'll just take a weekend off for the first time in... how long?! 😂)

Thank you all for the wonderful support and for your understanding. I know that a lot of people will be facing changes in September around going back to work and so on, so if you'd like to join the waiting list for September please drop me a message at [email protected] 📧

Reggie has done a 10/10 job with my diary management but has informed me this morning that if I take on any more bookings, his daily minimum snack and snuggle requirements won't be met - so I guess the boss has spoken 😸

Actually crying happy tears 😭
Absolutely brilliant news, and it’s been a long time coming 👏🏼 a big step in the right direction for animal welfare in the UK, and finally some real consequences for those who choose cruelty over kindness 🐾

We're delighted to announce that the bill to increase maximum sentences for animal cruelty from six months to five years has finally passed through parliament! 🎉 Blue Cross has campaigned for this law, with other animal welfare charities, for many years and we are delighted that progress has happened. This law will now send a message that animal cruelty will not be tolerated.

Sunny woodland adventures with Snoop the rescue pup yesterday! ☀️

This lovely boy has been in his forever home for a couple of months now, and after many different theories his parents decided to send off for a DNA test to find out what his breed he truly is - the results are now in and not entirely what they expected! 👀

I've had a lot of messages in the last couple of days enquiring about the areas Paddi-Paws covers - so I thought I'd list a few for reference! I live in Stamford Bridge, so my lovely home village is our main hub 😊

However, I frequently cover areas a bit further afield, including York city centre and surrounding suburbs such as Heslington, Huntington, Heworth, Fulford and so on, as well as branching out in the other direction to Pocklington and surrounding villages.

I was preparing a nice little update post for our social media page, but Reggie sat on my computer, deleted the whole thing, closed all my windows and turned on sticky keys instead - I think he was trying to tell me something 😂 Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know that even with a second round of lockdown now in full swing, Paddi-Paws will remain fully open for business, whether you need to arrange pet care for essential travel away or if you don’t have time for lunchtime dog walks around work - I’ve got you covered! 🐕‍🦺 hope you are all having a safe bonfire night with your pets 🐾

I am so excited to announce that Paddi-Paws is now officially open for business! 😍🐾
I’ve been truly overwhelmed by all the messages of support that have come flooding in over the last couple of days, so thank you to all you lovely people for helping me to turn Paddi-Paws into a reality ⭐️
Paddi-Paws is a bespoke pet care business based in Stamford Bridge, Yorkshire, and I will be offering dog-walking and pet-sitting services (for both indoor and outdoor pets!) - totally customisable to meet yours and your pet’s needs ☺️
