2 Days and 17 Pups left to go for and for 2024! (Oh and our own 3) 😝😵‍💫

Thank you for all your gifts and goodies - they’ve kept us going, currently running off chocolate, biscuits and coffee, very excited to crack open 🍾🍷

It’s been a hectic few months at the salon since October.. no Christmas craziness here, just busy busy.

😴 We will be taking some time off over the holidays, dates in the image above - we will be able to respond to messages, but it will be much more sporadic.

We still have some more puppers to show off before the big day so it’s not the last you’ll hear from us this year just yet.. but Merry Christmas none the less 🎅🏼

It's like buses, you wait ages and then two come at once!

I have great news, we have a second new groomer joining the team on a self employed basis in January 2025.

Katie is starting at the salon on the 6th January 2025. She'll be working Monday's, Tuesday's and Friday's.

Katie has 3 years grooming and styling experience working for a large grooming chain and is now wanting to go it herself. She's working on gaining her Level 3 grooming qualification alongside working at the salon.

She's owned dogs her whole life, but at the moment has 3 cats, Jasper, Heidi and Mufasa 🐈 along with a few other unusual pets. 🕷️🐍🐸

Sophie who I've previously introduced is starting on the 14th January and will be working Tuesday's, Wednesday's and Friday's.

Both have immediate availability in January.

You can contact your chosen/ideal groomer directly or via the Soap & Furry page and we will deal with your enquiry as a collective.

The team is back up to strength and we're looking forward to bringing our lead time down from 12 weeks!

The guys will get support from myself and Kim and we'll be doing our upmost to ensure you're still getting the service you're used to.

As noted above, the ladies are on a self-employed rent a table basis, and are in charge of their own diaries and will send payment requests directly from their mobile numbers which I have noted below.

It’s been a big year at the salon with lots of changes. We thoroughly appreciate your support throughout all of this!

Hopefully everyone is now getting into the swing of things with our payment system and settling in to the booking process choosing your groomer.

We're still very much a team. It's working much better and we're both enjoying the change.

I closed our books to new customers back in September and currently we have a waiting list of customers looking to visit us. Kim and I are both snowed under booking currently 12 weeks in advance, please book ahead!

I've been on the look out for new groomers to join on a self-employed basis.

I have exciting news to share - We have Sophie joining us in January! 🥳🙌🏻

She'll be joining us on Tuesday's, Wednesday's and Thursday's from the 14th January 25.

Sophie, originally from Rutland, started dog grooming in Cyprus when she was stationed there with her military husband.

She carried on dog grooming when they moved to Germany, then took a break while she had her 2 daughters, most recently she's worked in a veterinary centre but she's really excited to get back to dog grooming!

Sophie has two cocker spaniels, Fred and Betty who she enjoys running with!

Before she starts at Soap & Furry in the new year, she'll be completing a grooming course to advance her knowledge & skills.

I've asked Sophie to help us with existing customers prior to opening the books and we take some time to settle in. If you have an appointment which you'd potentially like to be brought forward, please drop the Soap & Furry Page or Sophie a line and we'll try and help as best as we can.

If you didn't manage to get booked in ahead of Christmas, Kim and I have blocked out from 2.30pm - 5.00pm on 14th December for walk in first come first serve nail trims, eye / face tidies, paw trims and sanitary clips. It's our first time offering so please bear with us if it’s busy and there is a little wait.

I have a couple of appointments left for Cats on the 22nd January, if you’d like to book in, please let me know.

Still absolutely beaming, what a Saturday night! We had a fantastic evening at the celebrating some amazing fellow pet businesses, we were lucky enough to come away with highly commended Dog Groomer of the year, which feels like such an accomplishment in such a big category thank you to Mary and the team at and Jordan from for thinking so highly of us 💜🤩🥰

A fun evening all round and great to have Mum there with us celebrating too! Table 10 took home more honours with Little Paws Microchipping & Ultrasounds winning Animal Star of the Year and National Human-Animal Bond Awareness Day for Winning Volunteer of the year it was great to meet you guys and congratulations! 🙌🏼

Congratulations to for winning our category, and The Dog House Grooming Parlour for also taking home Highly Commended! 👏🏼

Lastly.. winning Cat Services of the year!
