Hi all I've not had much chance to post on here lately. I have been super busy, which is great.
Rolo and Mabel joined the puppy gang a couple of weeks ago.
Rolo is the sweetest pup, super intelligent and listens so well. He is learning how to be a puppy and loving every minute.
Mabel is a little more shy and unsure so we are working on confidence in different surroundings and puppy play.
Both are doing amazing. 🐾🐾

Rogue is doing fantastic with her walk and train sessions.
Yesterday we did road work where she was taught to sit , look at me and wait until release command of OK to cross. Super work Rogue. 🐾🐾

I've not posted in a while as we have been super busy.
With Christmas getting close we always see a massive puppy boom.
Please , if you are thinking of getting a puppy at Christmas make sure you understand the breed, that they are microchipped, had 1st vaccination, Flea and wormed.
Ask the breeder how many litters the mum has had, how old she is, are they licensed, how was the pregnancy and labour. Can dad be seen or was he an outside stud, what is his history.
Don't be afraid to ask questions, a good breeder will be happy you have asked.
We are happy to offer advice and help.

This is Othienna, our Belgian Malonois x German Shepherd.
John is her person. They have worked together everyday for coming up 18 months. Consistency, perseverance, repertition and time are key in training.
I will post videos of them working together soon.
Othienna is a High energy breed, hard working, loyal and committed to her training. She is not for the faint hearted.
Lots of brain stimulation required on a daily basis. 🐾

Enrichment activities can prevent boredom, build confidence, and teach a variety of skills such as problem-solving, searching and agility. It allows them to sniff and chew appropriately. It is also an ideal way to manage their energy, encouraging calmer behaviour and helping them to learn good habits.

Lando is a High energy breed and throughly enjoyed his time on our woodland adventure. 🐾🐾

Enrichment should be provided daily.

So, what is confidence building?

Well, it's training your dog by using positive reinforcement, which teaches them that by making decisions and engaging with you and the environment earns them good things like treats and lots of praise. After all, the more positive experiences your dog has, the more eager they will be for new fun adventures.
It enables you to build a good strong positive bond with your best friend. 🐾🐾🐕
