All in all not too bad a weekend going into my chemotherapy this week,in what turned out to be a real tough guernsey into the north east with very poor returns all round ,at skiningrove we ended up 1st and 2 nd club 2nd and 3rd fed with two 50 /50 de seare x Marshall, incidentally the fed winner was 50 pcent our bloodline to
At my loft in Stanley we ended up with 5 back and were 1st /2nd/3rd and 5 th club ,3rd 4 th 6 th and 9 th fed the 1st bird being direct from little Finn and dynamos joe both queens cup winners ,little Finn and her mother and father are becoming super breeders with winners reported throughout the country through them these Desaer’s are as good as they come when the going gets tough .
Must give a big round of applause to Alan Dunn of wales who wins the Welsh National at the weekend for the 4 th or 5 th time this year with another grandchild of vooruitvlieger who is now grand sire to at least 5 National winners well done alan ,in our fed at East Cleveland our good friends mr and Mrs Pierson and purver top the fed with a 50/pcent ours ,Steve partis continued his blistering form to be 4/12/16/18 fed what a season he is having with our Lambrecht’s in one of the biggest feds in the unc keep it up mate 👍,had a nice phone call from Brennan and son at Aycliffe who tell me they have a son of black bear (son of neymar de seare )who bred there Guernsey winner a couple of weeks ago who then in turn bred there this weekends Guernsey winner both hard days well done lads ,anyway that’s all for this week got to get my head round chemo treatment number 5 tomorrow not looking forward to it but has to be done 👍
Video below my whole young bird team 1 week ago hopefully get a couple of races before I go in hospital 👍
Well we are now 10 days down the line from my 1st chemotherapy treatment and we are now feeling a bit better, the 1st 7 days after were rough but it has to be done .
Anyway onto the racing in the last week,in Bn our loft in skiningrove Mark continues the decent start to the season with a very credible
5 th 6 th 11th 13th and 14 th federation against 1196 birds ,in East Cleveland at this moment everyone agrees the birds don’t seem to be travelling the way they should with nearly all birds coming out of the back ,hopefully when the distance gets further and the winds shift to a more westerly direction things might improve,we can’t really complain as our worst fed position so far this season is 6 th in one of the strongest feds in the unc ,this week sees us at 200 miles giving head winds 🤞🤞🤞,
At my loft at Stanley where I only house the long distance birds I sent the 36 hens and had them all but 1 in less than half hour ,was a bit off the pace but was to be exspected from a 158 miles in a tail wind but we will soldier on and hope and pray the channel racing comes through, does everyone not think it’s about time we all got together and made a contribution and hired a good barrister to hopefully sort this as Ian Evans ceo rpra has had 2 years to sort this and we still are no further forward but you never know hopefully things might change .
As for racing in other lofts with our birds we have a few to report this week with mr and Mrs Pierson and purver Brotton topping East Cleveland fed 1196 birds with the same cock that topped the fed a couple of weeks ago a super pigeon 50pcent jpslofts breeding,
Steve Partis Holywell continues his blistering start to the season winning his 3 Rd federation on the trot in tynemouth north and looks like topping the section for the 2 nd week running incidentally the one that tops the fed this week is a brother /sister to the one that topped the section last week being from a daughter of dark angel who has now bred fed winne
Every year we let one full round from the main breeders go to another loft to race allowing us to find out the best breeders quicker thoroughly testing them in 3 locations however due to circumstances these belters will not be getting raced this year a real pity as they are special .
Every year we let go a full round of youngsters from our main Stefaan Lambrecht breeders to race to enable us to fully test our breeding program by getting them raced in 3 different loft locations/competitions ,bit disappointed that these belters won’t get to fullfill there racing potential but I’m sure they will be just as good in the breeding loft .
Had a visitor this morning checking the birds out ,I wish ide let my kids come into the garden when they were little
