It was lovely to meet the gorgeous Teddy for the first time today. I used to clip his mummy’s old horse so it was a nice catch up as well ☺️ we didnt really know how Teddy would be to clip. His mum had kindly run the trimmers over him beforehand and he was a good boy but a bit 👀 we roughly aimed for a bib clip with the option it could be a patch off the shoulder 🤣 but Ted decided this clipping lark was actually quite nice so we did a little chaser and he had a snooze. I didn’t want to push it too far today and also leave it on a good note so I’ll be back in the spring for round 2 🥰

Very proud of these 3 this morning. Albie, sometimes he’s body clipped sometimes just a leg clip to keep on top of his CPL. We always aim for every 6 weeks. Little Rosie pony, such a sweetheart. The only thing she doesn’t like is her head being clipped so that’s fine, we leave it on. Originally she wasn’t keen on me clipping from halfway up the neck however she now lets me get right up to those little ears 🥰 then we have little Bubbles who can be a bit of a nervous nelly with the unknown. Last time I saw him we worked very quietly with the small trimmers just switching them on and off and gradually building up to a little trim with them. After realising they really weren’t going to kill him and maybe after all it was quite nice he really started to relax. I decided every time I went up to the yard I was just going to introduce the clippers again to him. Today was his 2nd experience and what a little star 🌟 completely unfazed by the small trimmers from the start so got the big boys out. I would like to take all the praise for this but it was food. Food overrides everything in Bubbles book but that’s fine and I’ll take it 🤣

It was lovely to pop back to Paynes this morning and clip these two beauts 🥰 it was farrier day for them as well and I didn’t want to hold him up so poor Spud got attacked from both ends as I just needed to finish tidying his pits! His poor face says it all 🤣

I was very excited to have the new Liveryman Phoenix cordless clippers delivered at 8pm last night so by 8am this morning they were put to the test with this gorgeous lot! 🥰
