Applogies for the long post but we're now onto our last resort 😔

I don't really know how to process all the emotions right now so I'll just post this instead.

As you all know my dogs are my life and I'd go to the ends of the earth for them and they're insured for this reason. Little Alfie is currently fighting Cushings disease but we've faced the hurdle of our insurance trying their hardest to deny every claim for him.

Long story short the insurance is trying to somehow relate his excessive drinking, peeing and hair loss caused by his newly diagnosed (5th of November) cushings to his spinal surgery in 2021. We've tried everything we can at the current moment to fight this and I'm being told no at every hurdle.

Currently I face 2 options- surgery or medicine

If he's just given medicine he's got a life expectancy of 1-2.5 years if its his pituitary gland causing this but if its the more common adrenal glands it's only a year.

If he can get surgery it's 2-5 years for either approximately so obviously that's the route we want but without the insurance cooperating we're stuck.

I don't like asking because that's what the insurance is there for but at the current moment I've got no other options 😔
