‼️ ATTENTION ALL CLIENTS‼️
It’s been brought to our attention that there has been a confirmed case of strangles on a yard local to us. This illness is very contagious between horses if bio-security procedures are not followed.
We have located foot baths which contain disinfectant and hand sanitizers located on the entrance and exit to the yard.
All clients will need to use these before entering the yard so we ask please use them and don’t step over them if seen not using the foot bath or hand sanitizer this may result if refusal on entering the yard. The above measures are in place to keep our horses safe. No clients will be allowed to walk through the main yard.

Due to staff shortages during this holiday period, Meg will be teaching group lessons on Thursday 29 August & 5 September
Grace will be teaching privates on Thursday 29 August 5, 12 & 19 September and from Thursday 12 September Rebecca Dawson will be teaching group lessons.
Meg will return to teaching her normal Thursday privates from 26 September

Saturday privates will be taught by Lauren & Grace until we appoint a new member of staff.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused, we are a small business who strive to provide enjoyable educational and fun lessons along with continuity, however due to some staff having a change in circumstances we have had to make a few temporary alterations.

The top of bean leech road (hazel grove DIY) is closed due to resurfacing, please follow the diversion until you get the lights at the bottom of Offerton road (17 windows) then turn left onto Marple road until you reach the BP petrol station then turn left onto bean leech road.

Applicants must be 18+ with teaching experience (qualifications desired) from groups to privates to clients with SEN needs, rate of pay will depend on experience and age this will be discussed on interview (interview will include teaching a couple of lessons), hours may very during the school holidays etc.

🎅MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE🎅 Thank you for all of your continued support, and love for our team and the sport. This is a time where we can all rest and enjoy some sweet treats, including our ponies! Here is the Christmas Eve tradition from yesterday. This is where we turn out horses out into a new field with grass and haylage, and then take out all of the carrots and apples that you guys have brought for them🥰 (we have held some back as we do it on New Year’s Eve too!). What a lovely sight😍 some very happy ponies. Merry Christmas from everyone at Glen Jakes Riding School. We hope you all have a lovely time and we will see you in a few days time🎄❤️

🤩Here is a little Yew Tree update from Becky!!🤩 ⭐️Look how much our young herd have grown!!⭐️ 👀Can you spot the riding school pair that have gone on their holidays? They will be back on Tuesday for the next two to go!👀

⭐️A LITTLE YEW TREE UPDATE⭐️ …Also introducing❤️NALA❤️, our new little filly. Thank you to everyone who voted, we hope you love Nala as much as we do! Mum (Pamela) and Nala are doing super well🎉🥰 Here we have a little update from some of the guys at yew tree! Lad and Bubbles are also there for their mini two week holiday. This is where we give all of our riding school horses and ponies two weeks off to enjoy lots of grass to reward them for how hard they work. This works on a rota basis. ENJOY😊

Is there a better sight? Than letting the ponies into a new field?🥰 We decided to let our horsey team have a lovely bank holiday weekend on some grass, safe to say I think they’ve enjoyed the chill time😎 Clearly we lost count as they all ran past us that fast🤣 (the commentary) Can you see your favourite pony/ horse? ⭐️So last night after a busy week for the horses and ponies, we put them out in a new field so they can have a lovely chill out until Tuesday! Safe to say that I think they were excited!🤣⭐️ ‼️A reminder that we do still collect shredded paper if anyone has any that they are wanting to get rid of! Please leave it at the yard gate and a member of staff with store it for us! We appreciate all of the shredded paper we have received over the years. As it is another way that we bed up our pony stables! Bedding types are something that can be learnt about in our stable management sessions and days!‼️ 🥳Stable management days and own your own pony days are making a return during the Easter holidays!
