Check out our 'Top Tips' for perfect Tack this winter! π§οΈ
Looking after your tack to keep it supple and preserved is important. We invest in tack that fits well, looks good, and deserves the best care.
Clean off residual sweat, dirt, and saliva daily to keep leather in good condition and prevent mould and dirt buildup, especially around headpieces, bit attachments, and the girth area. Use a soft sponge with warm water, then apply a leather cleaner.
For a quick, luxurious clean, try NAF Sheer Luxe Cleanse and Condition for a non-sticky, lavish finish. Its conditioning ingredients prevent leather from drying out during cleaning.
After a wet ride, dry any exposed tack thoroughly. Wet leather is prone to mould and can weaken stitching. Once dry, apply a conditioning product like NAF Sheer Luxe Leather Food or Leather Balsam to keep tack supple. Avoid artificial heat, which can cause cracking.
Daily cleaning is crucial, but avoid baby wipes, domestic cleaners, or 'home remedies' on tack, as these can damage color, dry out leather, and create grease buildup.
When not in use, cover your tack to keep it dry and free of dust, scratches, and damp. Before storing for long periods, condition well with NAF Sheer Luxe Leather Food or Balsam.
Whatever the leather, trust NAF for all your tack cleaning needs!
