🐾 Important Notice: Flea and Tick Season
As we are in the midst of flea and tick season, we kindly ask all pet parents to thoroughly check their dogs for fleas and ticks before bringing them into daycare. Fleas and ticks tend to hide in warm areas such as under the ears, armpits, groin, and along the back. We recommend using a fine-toothed comb to check for fleas before arriving at daycare, as this can help you detect them more easily.
If your dog has fleas, please do not bring them to daycare. We conduct checks on all dogs upon arrival, and any dog found with fleas will be sent home to protect the health and safety of the other dogs. Your dog will need to remain flea-free for several days before returning to daycare.
If you’re using flea treatment and still find fleas on your dog, it may indicate that the treatment is not effective. In this case, we suggest consulting your vet for alternative options. Many of our staff, including Debz, recommend Bravecto, as it has been effective for many dogs here in preventing fleas and ticks.
Additionally, we strongly advise treating your entire home and car with Indorex spray to ensure that any lingering fleas or ticks are eradicated. While you may have treated your dog, it’s important to eliminate any pests that could still be in your environment.
Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our daycare a safe and healthy space for all dogs 🐾.
