Well… thank goodness it’s Friday! But, that damn mat fairy has been doing the rounds again 🧚

She made sure I had my work cut out for me today with Lola, Bear and Snoozey who all were struggling with some naughty matting!

It’s been a wild one but mission accomplished and there are three more comfortable and happy kitties tonight. 😻

Oops…. It’s 7.01pm….. time to sign off 👋🏻

I’ve been spending time with some totally yummy kittiez today! 😋
Exotic Persian Gus was first. Awwww I can not leave this boy alone (you can tell by his face how much he loves my overtures 🤣)
This sweet boy hides SO much undercoat every time!
He’s scrumptious and I’m always excited to see him!
He DOES love me!! 🥹

Lovely Luna came for a tidy and to get her tangled derrière sorted ☺️
Such a lady and left the pod smelling wonderful and with a clean, shiny, tangle free coat!

And Hamish….. aww Hamie…. Another one who pretends not to love me (even though he snuggled, purred and head butted all the way through) 🥰
He tells his mum and dad that he doesn’t like it, just to get an extra tuna treat! 🐟
What a coat he has, much improved over time and no mats! 🥳

Bit of a shout out for advice tonight. A customer has asked for any tips to help with an extremely nervous and anxious cat, especially with new people and any travelling in the car 💩
Can you lovely lot share what you have tried and what has worked in similar situations? 🙏🏻🥰

Will this awful weather ever end?!! 🌧️ 🥶

Luckily I had some lovely kitties to keep me warm! 😻

Princess Prim arrived in style as ever! She’s a bit of a diva but allowed me to groom most of her …. (Just don’t touch the bib!!!) 🤣

Bob and Ruby are such characters! I need to be careful with Bob as he’s not a grooming fan to say the least. His coat was badly matted last year so it’s nice to be able to keep him maintained so his dad doesn’t need to worry about it happening again.

Newbie Arlo had a quick hygiene trim and was a very good boy, if not a little bemused by his new surroundings. 🥰 He must have Maine C**n in him somewhere….. that tail!! 😮

She spends hours making them aswell as the famous fish that I give to new customers! 😻

A very busy one today 😅 but these fluffers kept me on my toes on this cold rainy day ☔️

A lovely relaxing start with Bramble who has a deceptively floofy coat! She’s so settled and chilled out and her coat brushed up brilliantly. 🤩

Raphie the Rafamuffin is always good fun! 🫣 She hates her claws being clipped but settles for her brush (eventually!)

Gorgeous cinnamon British Longhair Simba is another little treasure and had a lot of floof to brush out this time. What a beaut!

First time claw clips for Bailey and Lily. Bailey was a bit scared but sat well for me and Lily was…. challenging! But we managed on the end 🫣😻

A couple of little crackers from today! 😻

Beautiful Persian girl Shiri is so good for her regular grooms. She’s very used to me now and mostly purrs and nods off while I’m brushing her!
Her coat was very thick but luckily no mats or tangles.. (fairy hadn’t visited thankfully!) 🧚‍♀️
Love my cuddles with Shiri! 🤩

And newbie gorgeous Ragdoll Blue needed a little attention after having a bad tum! He’s a bit prone to matting so had a lovely first groom and is booked in for his next one to improve his coat condition. 🥰

As Spring approaches, please think ahead to your beloved kitty’s grooming needs. 🙏🏻
My full groom appointments are booked up into April now and I’ve got 15 slots left until May.
Sunday appointments are into June! 🫣

I do try to accommodate emergencies where I can but I much prefer to pre empt matting and tangling so it doesn’t get to that stage.

I did it!! 39 kitties made comfortable and beautiful in the last 11 days!
Got a couple of battle scars but nothing serious! 😅
All part of the fun! 😜

Today I met newbie Manny who had a MASSIVE coat and due to the matting hidden beneath had to have a lion cut. He was so tolerant and I didn’t hear a peep from him. He just let me get on with it. His mum says he’s much happier now and will be on a regular grooming schedule to keep his coat in amazing condition. 😍

Siberian Sweetie Jack came back with a few mats of his own but mainly needed. Good deshed. He thanked me by having a good chomp on my arm (maybe the bloody Chinook flying circles over my house made him jump!) 🫣

And Mildred wasn’t up for it today either bless her. She’s only little and usually chilled as anything and we always get plenty of undercoat out. Maybe she thought her spa day was tomorrow and I ruined her plans for the day 🤷🏼‍♀️

Quick claw clip for another newbie Maggie who welcomed to the pod for the first time. She was good as gold and did well being in a new place. 🥰

I had the pleasure of lovely Eric visiting today for his first wet bath! He was ever so lively and made sure I got a good soaking too! His coat is amazing and even more shiny after his bath. Love this special boy! 😍

Mr Tom had to have a lion cut a few months ago and came for a check up. I was really pleased with how his coat is growing so he just needed a little tidy up.
He has trouble using his back legs but his mum says he’s actually been better since the mats were removed so that’s brilliant. Good boy Tom! 🥰

And little Edie twin Tia was having mat fairy troubles so I made them all go away for her and managed to save most of her coat!

A good today today 🫠

Right, the 7pm work curfew is fast approaching and I’m going to make it today! 🥳

Lovely big boy Mouse had a bubbly bath and as usual did really well (except for launching himself right out of the bath… first time anyone’s got past me!!)
He’s such a fluffy love, beautiful!

Super sweet cuddly Dusty is so gentle and we had loads of loves and whilst he was being groomed. He has the most stunning eyes doesn’t he?! 😍

And little Sunny came for his first ever groom and I got even more cuddles!! 🥰
He’s such a sweet boy who wasn’t phased by anything and took it all in his stride! Good job Sunny 🏆

This cheeky pair visited today 😻
Rosie (tortie) is so sweet and no bother whilst Mabel (black furry bear) is not my biggest fan! 🫣

However, her coat is so thick that she has to put up with a groom (she’s already had one lion cut and we’re not going back there!)
I know you love me really Mabel…. You brought me donuts didn’t you?! 🍩😋

And a little claw clip for the ever so sweet Bea who is no trouble and likes a cuddle too 🥰

It’s been a nice day meeting three lovely new Cutiez and their mums and dads 😊

British Shorthair Coco tried his best to be the boss but in the pod it’s me who rules the roost! We came to an agreement in the end though and he settled into his groom and photoshoot afterwards 😻

Lovely Persian Leo was having BIG trouble with his coat and had to endure some pretty hardcore brushing. He was so tolerant and definitely won the fur pile of the day award! 🏆 He looked great after his groom and must feel so much better.

20 year old Lilly gave me her opinions on my efforts while she was visiting but we managed to brush some little tufty areas out and help her to get silky smooth!

Quick claw clip for cheeky Lucy and we were all done for the day! 👍🏻😴

Little Annie, she’s an absolute superstar 🤩 when it comes to brushing and it’s a good job too!
Her huge undercoat does mat up quickly so she comes regularly to be de floofed!

Popped down to Yarm Fair last night with my good friend Jenny. 🎡🎠 As we were wearing our Big Girl Pants we decided to go on the Waltzers….. ‘they don’t look too fast’ said Jenny……🙄 Oh My God…. 🤢😵‍💫 25 years since I’ve been on them and Never. Ever. Again. I thought I was going to die 💀🫣🤬 Should have seen us trying to get down the steps afterwards 🤣
