Morning Cutiez!! I just thought I’d do a quick post on the best tools to use for grooming.
Winter coat season is quickly approaching and it’ll be mats galore if coats aren’t kept brushed through.
(My Edie is going to be a mare for it lol!) 😅

A simple coarse comb is all you need. Throw out those Furminators and horrible claw things!! They get a lot of fur out but don’t differentiate between top and undercoat (which can result in bald patches if overused) 😱

Zoom Grooms are perfect for shorthaired cats and get a lot more out than normal brushes or combs.

I’m always happy to advise on brushing techniques to help you keep your kitty mat free! 😻

Time for me to have a little break. 🥳

I’ve got just over a week off to try and get rid of my cold and recharge for a very busy pre Xmas couple of months!
I’ll respond to messages as best I can while I’m off work but please bear in mind that full groom appointments are now booked up until January! 🫣 Limited short appointments are available for claw clips, hygiene trims etc.

Lovely lovely Lou 😻
Beautiful Persian Lou came for his regular groom yesterday and his coat has blown up hugely since his last one!
With some patient detangling and a lot of tolerance from Lou I managed to brush most of the mats out. A nice degrease and wet bath helped a lot and he’s super silky and his coat has thinned out nicely.
Isn’t he just gorgeous? 🥰

A little sad news today too 😔
My lovely oldie customer Tali’s mum has been in touch to tell me that she has sadly gone over the rainbow bridge at the grand old age of 18.
Tali had had a few problems with matting and I had to give her a full clip last time I saw her. We’d decided to give her a lovely bath on her next appointment so I’m sorry that I won’t be able to give her the pamper session she deserved. 😢
Sending much love to her mum and dad who will miss her so much. 🌈 Fly high little one ###x

Wow, didn’t it get dark quickly today?! 🌙

Three beauties to present for your viewing pleasure…

Baby doesn’t really like me (I try so hard!) but we managed without any drama and I even got a little head stroke time which is a first. Good job girl, we’ll get there!

It’s Black Cat day so it’s just as well that delightful Luna came for her usual wet bath. Shes super good and probably one of my best cats with the blaster drier. Fearless! 😻💪🏻

And lastly stunning boy Rocco (who I’m sure has grown since his last groom) also had a wet bath. Now need sunglasses to look at him! 😎🤩
We finished with a lovely snuggle aswell 🥰

Guess who popped by today?! 🤔 Munchkin! 😻

Those who’ve been following for a while will have seen my posts about Munch earlier in the year when he was having terrible tummy problems.
Look at him now!! Growing fast and no more lion cut! 🦁

He brought along his stunning big brother Ronnie who needed a tidy up too. They were both so lovely and well behaved. Munch may be a bit bigger but he’s still SOOO cute 🥰

Ahhhh that Friday feeling….. 🫠
Two little love bundles all tidied up ready for the weekend. 😍

The absolute delight that is Evie (tortie Exotic Persian) had a lovely bath and de shed. Dont ya just want to smooch this little face?! 😘 She’s sooooo good and doesn’t utter a peep. Her coat is so much improved due to a regular schedule and easier for her mum to look after between grooms.

The ever so dashing Eric made a quick fly by to have some tangles removed so he can carry on with his weekend shenanigans looking a million dollars! He was also extremely good (hardly any wiggling this time!) 😉😻

A quiet, gentle afternoon spa session for senior kitty Libby today.
She’s amazingly gentle and very tolerant of me and my fussing 🥰
We turned her tufty, greasy coat into silky soft fur with a lovely de grease and shampoo.
The pictures don’t do her justice but look how much undercoat was brushed out! 😮

Lots of furry fun on this autumnal day 🍁🍂

Floofy Bella had a maintenance groom. Her coat is amazing now. She always used to mat up badly and needed up being shaved earlier this year. Shes in brilliant condition now and much easier for her mum to look after 😻

Lovely new customers Freya and Sparrow dropped in for a bit of splashy fun! 🛁🫧 There were a few tsunamis 🌊 but they were both very good for their wet baths and ever so sweet 🥰

And delightful newbie Nutmeg had a bit of a tushie trim and a mani pedi! She was a little bewildered at first but settled for a good photoshoot pose afterwards! 😍

We had a mother and daughter pamper session in the pod today!
Mabel and her tortie daughter Rosie took it in turns to have a lovely groom.
Rosie loves it and is good as gold, Mabel isn’t that fussed about being handled or brushed.😅
Had to do the photo shoot quickly as Mabel doesn’t have a lot of patience with Rosie bless her! 😻

As we were wearing our Big Girl Pants we decided to go on the Waltzers….. ‘they don’t look too fast’ said Jenny……🙄

Can’t believe it’s Thursday already! Steaming along towards the weekend!! 🚂

Naughty Ragdoll Rosie who has a big polar bear coat and a grizzly bear attitude to match 🧸 had a good deshed and dry bath groom this morning. Floof pic only as we both needed a little down time after her groom 😅

Persian Ozzie returned for a de floofing. This lovely quiet boy was so good for his groom and very patiently let me get all his little tangled out 😻

Little newbie sweetheart Minnie was quite nervous at first but soon settled in and was really chilled out. (I’m sure she was asleep at one point!) 😴
Good job Minnie 🫶🏻🤩

Happy Hump Day! 👋🏻
It’s been a long one! 😅
Lovely lovely Mouse had his dry bath groom this morning. His coat is Epic but very much improved for regular grooming. ❤️
He’s so chilled, no bother at all 😍

Then the extremely ‘spirited’ Loki who wouldn’t have his picture taken 🐈‍⬛ Loki is extremely challenging and I did do a small video to show the ‘other side’ of cat grooming but I’ve decided on this occasion to stick with my mantra’ what happens in the pod stays in the pod’ 🫣😝 (think he was practicing for Halloween!) 😈

Cuddly Teddy had a huge deshed this afternoon too. He’s an adventurous boy and his massively thick coat soaks in everything that’s out there! He was a good lad for his brushing though and very patient.

Quick claw clip for very good girl Chloe and I’m done! 🙂‍↕️ Currently posting from a nice warm bubble bath! I’m bl**dy knackered 🤣😂🤪

Busy old day today!
Sweeties Mia and Misty had a lovely dry shampoo and deshed this morning. Mia is so lovely (until you produce a brush!! 😈)
Awww They’re good girls really! 😄

Oldie Smudge had her first ever wet bath. She was quite greasy with a lot of thick tufts but she emerged unscathed and looking like a panther princess!
She was such a sweet, gentle and calm girl all the way through and her dad was thrilled with her coat afterwards 😍

And good boy Nelson had a quick claw clip too!
