Founded by The original Cat Lady, Fiona Lester in Feb 2020, The Cat Lady now consists of a small team of Cat Specialist Sitters in the Teesside area. We provide top quality cat sitting in your home to ensure your absence is felt as little as possible by your cat(s) whilst you're away. We pride ourselves on going the extra mile with your cat's wellbeing at the forefront of our minds at all times. W

e respect their personalities, give them space if needed, or lots of fuss and love if that's what they are looking for. We maintain all of your cat's areas, washing all bowls, cleaning litters and hoovering/sweeping daily. Feed any diet required according to your instructions and provide fresh water. We then fill our time with play and fun for the ones who want it, and just some company if they don't. Finally, and most importantly for our clients, we send updates after every visit with lots of photos and a list of things we've done. In addition to the care of your cat, as a complimentary service, we will make your home look 'lived in' with the toggling of lights, opening and closing of curtains/blinds, moving post, watering plants etc. Your account with us is managed through an online portal / app where you can manage your bookings, pet profiles, invoices and more. Confessions of a Cat Lady

Hi, I’m Fiona Lester, the (crazy) Cat Lady. I am 43 years old and live in Stockton on Tees with my husband, Craig - who is also crazy about cats! I got my first kitten, Suki when I was 8 years old. I remember the day like it was yesterday and there has never been a day since that I haven’t owned a cat. When I met my husband, Craig, 22 years ago, he wasn’t a cat person. Needless to say, that left rather a large box unticked in my search for Mr Right, but within weeks of meeting my furbaby, he was smitten! Many, many years later, we have only got more crazy about cats and are currently owned by four of them.

Why should you choose The Cat Lady? Simply put, you would be hard pushed to find a more enthusiastic person when it comes to our little furry friends. I cannot walk past a cat on the street without stopping for a chat. I'm sure I drive my husband crazy.

We are both completely dedicated to our cats and their happiness and having shared 22 years with many, many cats, we have certainly had our fair share of ups and downs with cat care and have had plenty of feline experience. We have owned (??...totally lost count of the number) cats since we met, including a little madam who we took in because she had come home pregnant. - the least said about that the better!! Her 4 babies were born in the house we still live in, and we kept them all. The last one left us just a few years ago. Your cat will be solely cared for by myself, but with Craig as a stand-in, in case of an emergency such as illness or something else that prevents me from attending to your cat. It's always bothered me when booking a cat sitter in case something happens, so we feel this arrangement offers my clients a sense of security and peace of mind. What can we offer you? We aim to cater to your needs, whatever they may be. I can pop in to check kitty is ok and give a quick chin scratch while you are at work... feed if you're away for the day and you don't want to rush back. On the other end of the scale, whilst you holiday for up to two weeks, I will visit up to 3 times a day and clean litter boxes, sweep or hoover stray litter, dispose of all mess, groom, give medication where possible. I'll even hunt them down to their hidey hole to make sure they are safe and well, play with them until they are begging for us to pack our toys away and make sure your absence is felt as little as possible. We come equipped with a finely honed ‘cat voice’ - you know the one, and always have a bag of Dreamies tucked away in our Cat Kit - as long as they have parents permission of course!! I can even bring a range of toys to spark your cats interest. In short, let us know what you need and we will do our best to accommodate!
