Our Gorgeous girl Bella crossed over to rainbow bridge unexpectedly last week 🌈

Lots of you met Bella in the salon, she was the best model for our trainees, the best guard dog (even though she was a soft arse) the best treat catcher, head tilter and the most amazing dog with the kids.

She was just THE best girl and we’re going to miss her terribly 😥

We can help! The results speak for themselves!

How much does it cost?

Initial consultation and treatment is £30
Maintenance treatments are £20

What does the appointment include?

The session includes an assessment of your dogs teeth, identifying any potential issues that may need veterinary treatment. Eg. Gum inflammation, loose teeth, excess bleeding, anything “unusual”
We will then perform the teeth cleaning and give you a plan on how often we would recommend in between visits.

How many visits will my dog need?

Tooth care is an ongoing thing. It’s something we as owners need to keep on top of to prevent problems further down the line. Our initial assessment will be able to let you know when your dog next needs to come in as we recommend on an individual basis.

How long is the appointment

It usually takes around 15 minutes. Depending on work that needs to be done and how severe the build up is.

Is this treatment ok for any dog?

We will only work with your dog if they are happy to cooperate. We are always willing to give it a go, but usually, for the vast majority of dogs they accept the treatment well.
We will not be able to complete this treatment if your dog has a bite history.

Can I wait and watch?

While we have no objections to owners staying in the salon we always recommend you either wait outside or in the car during the appointment.
This is because usually the dog will be constantly seeking reassurance and focusing on their mums and dads rather than us which makes the treatment hard to complete safely.

Can I use this service instead of going to the vet?

Absolutely not. We are not an alternative to veterinary care, and never will be. We are a complimentary service that you can use alongside veterinary care.
If you ever have any concerns over your dogs mouth health we will always refer you to your veterinary professional to guide you.

It is worth noting that while we can advise and recommend visiting your vet if we see something unusual, we can not diagnose any health conditions in your dog.

⭐️Please read⭐️

This isn’t a dog from us, but from another groomer in the north east.

I really wanted to draw attention to this. The responsibility of brushing your dog and ensuring the coat is Matt free is on the owner.

The owner of this dog has slated this groomer over social media and the post has been shared up to now around 800 times.

If your dog presents in a severely matted condition the kindest and most humane thing to do is to remove the coat and start again.

There is ALWAYS a risk that grooming a dog in this condition will uncover/create injuries, such as small cuts, sores on the skin, ear haematomas etc. This is not down to the groomer being negligent it is down to the fact that it’s impossible for us to be able to see the skin under the matts.

It is NEVER ok to do what the owner of this dog did, and slate this groomer on social media for shaving off her dog and causing injuries. These injuries were created by the lack of coat care at home by the customer herself.

I sincerely hope this groomer sues for defamation because the damage done to her business after this is incomprehensible.

Please everyone, if your dog is matted, just know that we won’t judge you for letting things get on top of you as long as you receive the advice we give and know that we are here to help. No groomer would go out of their way to shave off your dog if we can help it. Please listen to us as we only have your dogs best intrests at heart ❤️

YEARLY APPOINTMENTS

Happy New Year! We are back open as usual from tomorrow. I am currently working through the yearly appointments for those that have requested slots booked for the full year.

If you haven't already requested this and want to secure your dogs slot for 2024 please message me with your dogs name, breed , preferred days, and how many weeks in between appointments.

We are currently working Tuesdays/wednesdays/Thursdays.

PLEASE NOTE: As I am only working 3 days, I will not be able to guarantee book as you go appointments if you choose not to book in for the full year. Priority will be given to regulars who book in advance.

If you are unsure of your work schedules and want to pre book for the year, we can primarily book slots for you and if appointments need to change closer to the times we will be able to work with moving things around if you already have an allocated slot. We would still require 48 hours notice to change these slots to avoid the cancellation fee.

We have just had new insurance details Re: XL BULLY BREEDS.

For us to groom your dog these are the following restrictions

As your insurer, you will be covered to provide Grooming to an XL Bully Dog on the following basis:
🐾 The dog is registered with the index of exempted dog (IED) and a copy of the life certificate is obtained and provided to us in the event of a claim.
🐾 A copy of the public liability insurance certificate for the dog is obtained and provided to us in the event of a claim.
🐾 The dog handler ratio is 1:1 with their handler at all times
🐾 The dog is Neutered – in line with Government Rules
🐾 The dog is Micro Chipped
🐾 The dog is kept on a lead and muzzled at all times when arriving at your complex
🐾 The dog is treated on your private property and is secured and cannot escape
🐾 You can remove the lead and muzzle if necessary whilst the dog is in the bath as long as you feel comfortable with this.

Please ensure if you have one of these breeds that we will be asking for all of these details and following the restrictions fully to ensure your dog and our groomers are fully insured should an incident occur.

We appreciate that *most* of these dogs are lovely and these rules seem unnecessary and unfair, however we have to follow these restrictions in order for us to be fully protected, as we will NEVER groom any dog uninsured at any time.

Please be honest with us about the breed of your dog. We will not refuse to groom your dog on the basis it is an XL Bully. ❤️

We have just opened up some new appointment times for December.
At the moment we have

Wednesday December 6th 10.30, 11.30, 1pm and 2pm

Thursday December 7th 8.30am, 12.00, 1.00 and 2.00

And on Friday 15th December we have an 8.30am available.

We have nothing else available until the new year once these dates have gone.

We are super busy in December so please can you make sure if there’s any change to your appointments you let us know as far in advance as possible, and arrive to drop off and collect on time.

With the lots of muddy footprints going up and down the driveway it was starting to look a bit gammy!
