I've had a lovely surprise seeing a photo shared on 'Stockton Friends United' Fb group of my Dad on his 'Smiths Pets' Market Stall on Stockton High Street in 1959 and from where I took the name.

He also had a shop at 66 Norton Road just near the Buffs club, and that came as a result of him starting his stall on Stockton Market after he came back from serving in Egypt during and after the second World War.

Some of you may have noticed a photo of his van from around the time that this photo was taken, his Austin 3 way loader, at the front of the Portrack Lane shop. It's my little Nod back to him and his love of Pets that he passed on to me.
