🍂 It’s that time of year again! 🍂
❄️ WE ARE NOW CLOSED FOR WINTER ❄️

Once again, it’s been a fabulous season and we are very thankful for every single visitor that has passed through the doors to see us!
We will be busy behind the scenes as always, there’s plenty to keep us busy and of course we’ve got to keep our animal family company ☺️

🍂 As we start to see less of the sun in the sky, our butterflies get sleepy earlier so we need to reduce our opening times 🍂

DID YOU KNOW……

🌧️ When the weather is dull and there isn’t much sunlight, butterflies are less active!

Please be aware of this when visiting on dull weather days, we pump in the heat to encourage them to fly but even we can’t force nature sometimes, despite our best efforts!

We have lots and lots of butterflies but you might have to look a little closer for them on a dull day.

☀️ When butterflies bask in the sunshine, their open wings act like mini solar panels, warming up the muscles that make the butterfly's wings flap. In cool and overcast conditions, this warming-up process takes much longer.

We’re a privately owned family run business founded in 1992. Butterflies are our owners true passion and he built Butterfly World so he could share it with others!

We have a large variety of tropical butterflies and we also have some much loved reptiles, an ant farm and a family of cheeky meerkats! Our aim has always been to give people an enjoyable experience in an indoor tropical environment to see the beauty of our butterflies up close. We are continually replenishing the variety of tropical plants and making improvements and changes wherever we can.
