There's a lot of conflicting things on the internet as to what dogs can or can't eat e.g. one site says peppers, but these have a lot of vitamins in them, it's just the seeds that they can't eat. Be very careful with any seeds e.g. apples pips contain cyanide.
So here's a list of the 10 main food/drink items not to feed your dog:
1. Chocolate: Even small amounts can be toxic
2. Grapes, raisins, and currants: Can cause kidney failure
3. Onions, garlic, chives, and leeks: Toxic to dogs
4. Xylitol: An artificial sweetener found in many human foods, including candy, gum, and peanut butter
5. Avocados: Toxic to dogs
6. Macadamia nuts: Toxic to dogs
7. Bread dough: Toxic to dogs
8. Cooked bones: Can injure or obstruct a dog's gastrointestinal tract
9. Alcohol: Can lead to sickness, diarrhoea and even central nervous system damage
10. Caffeine: Can damage the kidneys, liver, heart, lungs and nervous system, and cause, vomiting, diarrhoea, a high blood pressure and tremors
